Not the pants but I brought back a boatload of Members Only jackets from Korea.

Negative; I did associate with at least 2 people who did. Had Girbaud’s though.

You were considered a nerd if you were a kid in the mid 80's and didn't wear them. Red pair with black checkerboard vans on my BMX bike.

And I still have my 35 year old Raleigh BMX bike!

I want to say no but it's all kind of hazy. Contemporary photos mostly show me in jeans or khakis so I've got that going for me.

If you had the pants, you'd best be completing the look with one of these

Or you'd likely get challenged to a poppin' and lockin' on the cardboard.

The first 80's trends I got into was Coca Cola shirts and then Z Cavirricci pants.

I was 100% Miami Vice in the 80s. My kids love laughing at the pictures.

I will confess to a single gray pair. Those pants sucked.

I also fell victim to the corduroy pants trend that reared its ugly head in the early 80s. I had several colorful pairs to go with pink or other pastel Izod shirts and penny loafers. Those pants were uncomfortable as hell

Dress down was OP t-shirts and shorts and assorted Chess King new wave bullshite.

What were we thinking? I will admit that I still miss the OP gear, though.

“How could one achieve maximum velocity while break-dancing without them?” is the better question.

Of course I participated.

Does "taking part" cover pointing and laughing? If so then yes.
