Among 54 subject areas, Berkeley ranked first in the world in chemistry, second in physics, materials science and engineering, and statistics and third in electrical and electronic engineering, biotechnology and economics.

In addition, Berkeley ranked fourth in sociology, water resources and ecology, and fifth in computer science and engineering, nanoscience and nanotechnology, energy science and engineering and transportation science and technology.

Ranked dead last in common sense.

LSU football could beat Cambridge or Oxford easily. That's what really matters.

It's always funny to hear Europoeans brag about free college tuition and then completely buttfrick them in these rankings. Merica

Saying these are universities is a little. Is leading. A lot of these places are specialized institutions. One of schools listed is the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for crying out loud

Vanderbilt and Rice should be higher

After #100 or so, does it even matter or can you take the rankings that serious?

300 to 500 you could just throw in their like darts
