Not sure why people are making a big deal out of Trump allegedly saying this.

Everyone else can't stand Trump anyway, so it's not going to change many opinions of him

Exactly, the day I call you a N***** and you call me a cracker/honkie/whatever and neither of us give a shite.....then it is defeated.

Us white folk have it. You call me cracker or honkie and I could care less. Got to get past it for black folks now.

The only people that can do that right now are people that know each other personally/friends.

When folks stop caring it looses its strength.

I was raised in New Orleans and went to a kinda rough high school which I'm sure if that word was overhead the first thing that would be asked is it's contextual usage.

This is what your ilk has been reduced to, speculating that Trump is going to increase his support for saying a word that you don't even have proof he said.

It must suck to continually fail like you liberals do.

That is beyond stupid. Unless words have no meaning. And you disregard context.

The word N$gger is not the same as Negro any more than White Trash includes all white people. N$gger is used to describe an offensive individual.

Why would a person that has no animosity for Negroes in general yet disdains N$ggers (as well as other trashy elements of groups) be racist?

It is truly a head scratcher isn't it? The Prog/Dim leftists of society have taken a word, that morphed from the word Negro or Negre and absolutely weaponized the word to destroy people. I would prefer people not hide behind societal shame, I want people to speak freely so I know who they are. When I know who you are I can make an informed decision to either associate with you or check you off my list.

I had an earlier thread that dealt with the issue of weaponized words and used the word "f&ggot" as the unmentionable word. The homosexual folks decided they preferred the word "gay" to describe their sexual preference and now the original meaning of the word gay has been lost and the new meaning has become a derogatory sexual slur.

The point is, society can attach a negative connotation to any word over time, now that word is weaponized.

I cannot tell you how much it tickles me that the insane folks fighting trump over everything fell for a fake rumor of something bad about trump AGAIN and let the possibility of a tape of trump saying the n-word turn around on them AGAIN and prove ANOTHER fact about them.

That being that they really, truly think some words are only OK for "certain" people to say.

This. We see it with regard to terms describing gender dysphoria, too.
