What time period would you consider America to be great? I have never heard a clear answer to this question...

From the late 40’s through the early 90’s America was the economic super power and the military super power.
We are still the military super power but due to mandatory subprime loans, the internet bubble bursting, costly war in Iraq, and overall shitty economic policy the past 16 years our status has fallen.
We are finally negotiating from a position of strength again and the economy is responding.
People with traditional, proven successful values are finally rejecting the flavor of the month values and rejecting socialism. This is getting America back to what made us great and will make us great again.

America has always been a great but imperfect nation
You can still believe a nation is great yet deeply believe there are problems that need to be solved
America’s constitution is the most miraculous political document ever devised by mankind
America has played an active role in eradicating dark forces in multiple time periods
America has been a haven for people seeking freedom, peace, and self-fulfillment

America was great up until about 1960

If it's that bad, you're welcome to leave. No, really.
We insist.

America was great prior to the infestation of the radical Prog/Dim leftist varmit. We need an exterminator to rid God's country of the vermin.

I dunno.. maybe when we sent guys not of the current legal drinking age to Europe to face machine gun fire on the beaches to subsequently liberate an entire continent from Nazism?
To the Pacific to push back the conquering Japanese? Who we then aided to become a manufacturing juggernaut instead of punishing for the war?
Perhaps when we did the same in Korea when we saved half of the continent from communism and brutal dictatorial rule. And has also become a booming economy in the south of Korea?
How about when the US was the main country that pushed Commununism out of eastern Europe and made the lives of millions better?
Been to the moon in the 60’s.. anyone been there since? Got a rover on mars. Anyone else got one?
Invention after invention along with further innovation in every walk of life that has made the world a better place? Since the turn of the 20th Century?
How about right now? Top to bottom there is more liberty and opportunity in the US than anywhere in the world. Anywhere.
If you don’t have a clear answer yourself then you are just a lost freaking cause with zero awareness.

Great =/= perfect. It is also relative. For instance, many would say we were great in 2008 while others 2016. Also, I would venture to say, we have had way more ups than downs.

Whenever I hear this question, I always think of this clip.
America is NOT the greatest country in the world (Jeff Daniels)

Shitposting like this should just be deleted. It's not even worthy of an actual debate.

Only during that period of time while we were a republic.

Name a better country/empire? If you can’t name anything better then by definition it’s the greatest/great in comparison. Some of you lack serious common sense.

Well since you think America isn’t great, please explain why we allow all of these immigrants into this country? Isn’t this doing them a disservice?
And why are you here? Shouldn’t you be somewhere else since America is so bad? I’m sure any country in Africa would be great right about now. Or Jamaica, or Haiti, or China, or Russia, or any country in central and South America? Why not move? Or better yet, kill yourself.... you victim mentality seeking parasitic freak.
