How bad is the media overplaying their hand with the outrage of the week?

Muh caged kids
Muh Russian traitor
Muh Omarosa/tapes

Going back further you can include stupid shite like "shitholes" and Fire and Fury. How does someone like a Toddy not get tired of having to act outraged on a new subject every week let alone the average voter?

i made a thread about a similar topic probably a year and a half ago...it basically asked when the voting population of the left would get tired of all the fake/overblown stories. they craft some narrative on JournoList vol 2, blast the media with it, promote conspiracy theories, get everyone with TDS buzzing, and then it's dropped in 1-2 weeks

over

and

over

and

over

Because if the weren't acting outraged they'd have to come face to face with their own inadequacies and lack of interesting ideas. Outrage gives them cover.

my only solace in this current outrage culture is that people eventually grow weary of it all and push back against it

this is my hope

and maybe Trump is the guy that will inadvertently move us in the right direction by pushing everything over the edge

maybe

When you get to write the narrative, you don't have to justify your coverage of events supporting the narrative you wrote.

Propaganda.

Trump's played it well. If you're outrageous all the time - whether it be Trump or the media - the shock factor is nil. It becomes the status quo.
