I like the Texas and Villanova plays. Not everyone will offer the Villanova game, though, because they are FCS.

What about the following 4-team, 13-point teaser?

Texas +1 at Maryland
UCLA -3.5 vs Cincinnati
Troy +23.5 vs Boise State
Minnesota -5 vs New Mexico State

I don't see a potential loser there, but that's people always say with a big teaser...

I have serious doubt about LSU’s future under Orgeron, but LSU-Miami (with LSU getting points) is easy money.

0% chance Miami wins.

There’s a zero % chance the favorite wins the game?

I can’t see more than 8 wins on LSU’s schedule because of our shrimp boat captain coach, but we will absolutely work Miami. I’m thinking a 24-10 type win. Maybe 31-10. Our defense will be too much for them. It’ll be essentially a home game for us. Miami doesn’t travel.
Hopefully you've got no less than $20,000 on such a sure thing

Swing it the other way on Boise and you're good.

If you’re going to tease college games, I’d definitely do it on games with low totals. Don’t think UT/Maryland and UCLA/Cincy will qualify there

Interesting. That would make Boise State +2.5, which basically means you think there is just no way Troy wins this outright, even at home. My gut feeling is that this should be a pretty close game one way or the other, which is what makes Troy +23.5 appealing. But maybe I'm overrating Troy based on their "signature win" last year...

Yes, you are overrating Troy bigly. Boise is going to be solid this year and will go 12-0 if they can beat oSu in Stillwater.

Jerry Palm: Many expect Oklahoma to take a step back after losing the Heisman Trophy winner, but I don't. The Sooners won't just win the league, they'll be back in the playoff.

Purdue lost almost all of their defense which was their better unit last season. I'd stay away from this game.

Is Thorson healthy coming into the season?

My picks:

OU -21 over Florida Atlantic
UTSA +18.5 over Arizona State
Virginia Tech +7 over Florida State (I think VT wins outright)

I don’t know if this is the official thread, but it’s the only one I see, so let’s do this....

Week 0 starts tomorrow. I like the Under in the Wyoming/NMSU game. Both defenses are their strong side. Wyoming’s offense was putrid last year, and while NMSU’s was rather good, the essentially lost all of their main talent from LY.

Under 46
Lean to Wyoming -4

I think all the uncertainty of both offenses, and the very strong possibility of an ugly, low-scoring game makes the points that much more valuable. Factor in any kind of reasonable home-field advantage — the Aggies are trying desperately to sell out this game with cheap tickets to build the program’s profile in front of a national audience. I think New Mexico State at anything over a field goal has some value.

Aggies +4
