Cal -8.5: North Carolina flying across the country with 13 guys sitting at home due to the shoe selling scandal. This is the same Cal team that rolled into Chapel Hill and won straight up as a 12 point dog in 2017.

Most of the suspended players are backups and Malik Carney's suspension is staggered and he will play. I took the points.

How do you feel about TCU This year?

Cal returns their quarterback, top running back, all but one receiver, every offensive lineman who started a game, most of their year-end two-deep on the defensive front seven, and the top five tacklers in the secondary. UNC is down to it's 3rd string quarterback. The long flight coinciding with the fact that depth issues will probably come into play - I wouldn't be comfortable taking the points. However, we're trying to predict the outcome of what 18-22 year old kids will do. You just never know.

Lost a lot of production from last year but the schedule sets up favorably.

at SMU
at Texas
at Kansas
at WV
at Baylor

They get Ohio State in Arlington. If they can go to Texas and win, they'll be 3-0 in conference play when Oklahoma comes to town. That game probably decides between 7-8 wins or 10+.

Oklahoma -21 over Florida Atlantic seems like a gift
I'm leaning FAU at the moment. Oklahoma's achilles heal last year was that D and they arent returning much on it either. They were 101st in the S&P+ last season. And we all know FAU can move the ball. I think staying within 3 TDs is definitely possible.

Oklahoma is going to beat them something like 56-20

This is Texas Tech’s best defense they had in a while. Could be lower scoring.

I thought that total would've been in the low 70's, so this very well may be the case. Setting the number where it is looks pretty trappy.

I doubt it. I think Oklahoma is a bit overrated this year. That defense still has problems and I don't care how good Lincoln Riley is, that offense will miss Mayfield. I personally wouldn't touch this game, but I would think its something like a 41-21 game.

I can’t see more than 8 wins on LSU’s schedule because of our shrimp boat captain coach, but we will absolutely work Miami. I’m thinking a 24-10 type win. Maybe 31-10. Our defense will be too much for them. It’ll be essentially a home game for us. Miami doesn’t travel.

OU will be better this year. Loaded at RB, WR, and arguably one of the best O-lines in the country. A good battle going on at QB.
Defense will be better. LB position is loaded.

No, they wont be better. Mayfield was a HUGE factor that can't be understated. OL will he good, it was good last year too. RB and WR were good last year too. Lost a big target at TE in Mark Andrews. Just assuming their QB play is going to be great is a stretch.

And that defense could be better, sure. They were terrible last year. But what makes you think they'll be better? Just cause? Those DBs don't look any better. LB should see some improvement. But there's no pass rushers to be feared and they're inconsistent at DT.

The only reason for a 10 win season is that schedule is garbage.

I like Tulane +7 against Wake at home.

What do y’all think about Alabama -25.5 against Louisville in Orlando?

I hate laying that much points but Bama will probably cover

Save your money and bet Arkansas state + the points the next weekend. Bama usually lays off of the G-5 schools in week two

Thanks

Anyone play any teasers? I could 10-point Bama, OU, and possibly WVU, and that looks good.
