Will the first scrimmage shed any light on the Qb battle?

I figure Burrow will have a line like 55/45 for 700 yards and 30 TDs. That's right, he'll complete passes that he didn't even throw.

Honestly, what QB "battle" do you think is going on here? With 3 QB's already on the roster do you really think LSU went out, after spring practice, to sign a guy to just "compete" for the job? Likewise, do you think Burrow left OSU just to go assume a backup role at another school?
Burrow was looking for a starting job and O was looking for a QB. If not, then neither party would have entered into an agreement. O has to say their is a "competition" for the sake of team morale. Nevertheless, as far as Ogeron and Burrow are concerned, Burrow is at LSU for ONE SPECIFIC REASON...to be the starting QB in 2018. Otherwise, his "recruitment" post-spring was a colossal waste of time on everyone's part.

there is no "QB battle." Barring a complete meltdown or injury by Burrow, he's the starter.
O didn't go out after spring practice looking for another backup. He went looking for a starter.
And Burrow isn't transferring to just have a chance. He transferred to play.
I'd bet my house that Burrow is our starter - and that decision has already been made, but O has to give the impression the job is open to keep all QBs engaged - if, for nothing else, in case of an injury to Burrow.

Yes they do a scrimmage every Saturday the next 3 weeks in Tiger Stadium
