LaBron and I think Oden (from a few years ago) both look like they should be in Oregon working in a lumber yard. Flannel shits and a big arse axe.

Anyone with a functioning mind knew that some of the cost would be handed to taxpayers since, you know, it's part of Akron Public Schools.
Yeah, why is anyone shocked that taxpayers will pay for a public school?
Taxpayers pay for 100% of a public school. LeBron's contributions will mean they pay for less than 100% of this one, plus the kids get scholarships at the end.
How is that a bad thing? It isn't really hard news to find either. Most major outlets said it was a public school.

I was informed that lebron was paying for it all and now its out he isnt this is typical response
No, you weren't informed because you were lazy and didn't research it enough. That's on you but feel free to blame others because you half assed it.

Maybe Mr. Williamson should put some glasses on to appear smart and maybe people will listen.

So LeBron is sending kids to college when he has the reading level of a fourth grader.
Brilliant.
He's black, so clearly he don't read good!!

I mean I didn't hear one time last week that it was a public school. All you heard was Lebron was paying for all these kids.

I’ll be honest, I hadn’t been keeping up so this is the first I learned that it was going to be public.
But when I did, my first thought was, “Oh, it’s public...but Lebron is still putting up millions to help run it”.
The school wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Lebron. It’s inconceivable to me that people are crapping all over this.

I Promise to get the tax payers to pay for your shite which the public school system already pays for transportation and free lunches for qualified students. Scholarships to any school are availabe to kids that earn that money by their dedication and hard work in their studies and extracurricular activities. This isnt anything new, hes just using this as a farewell to the city and state he ran from again.

That's exactly my thoughts too. He put up millions that otherwise would be coming from taxpayers and is enabling a school that otherwise wouldn't exist.
Even people who don't like LeBron...sometimes people you don't like do good things. This is just a good thing. Applaud him for this and save the hate for his next overdramatic social media post.

What part of "Akron public school" did you not get? He made the push to get the at-risk school built, but it is a public school.

If I understand correctly, this school is primarily for at risk kids. This means those kids will be filtered out of the traditional public schools where they may have either been problem students disrupting the learning environment or they traditional schools just may not have had the resources to deal with them.
So, by setting up and helping fund a school that deals specifically with these kids, LeBron is giving the kids in his school a better chance, and the kids at the schools they are leaving a better chance.
I'm sure there is something I'm missing, or maybe I'm making some faulty assumptions, but I can't see how this can be spun into a bad thing.

You have to understand how shitty the life of a person is if they live just to hate and tear down lebron because they think Jordan is better or because trump called him out and they have to fall in line.
I think he’s a giant bitch on the court most times, and is a weird dude social media wise, but he does a lot of good for his community and is a great father to his kids. There’s nothing wrong with this unless you are just a miserable person.

His foundation did put up almost $2 million for the startup of the school and expects to contribute $2 million each year, so 20% of the total operating cost. That's still good.
Would you let your wife buy a Porsche just because it's 20% off. No, but despite being discounted, it would still potentially break your finances, or set them back years at a minimum.

Awful analogy, but you already knew that.
