Godspeed and oh, the obligatory "Thanks Mitch"

Orleans LA-Jefferson LA-Plaquemines LA-
945 AM CDT SAT AUG 4 2018
The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
for...
Southwestern Orleans Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
North central Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
Northwestern Plaquemines Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 1145 AM CDT.
* At 943 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas
will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
The heaviest rain was occurring along a line from West End to
to Barataria and spreading into New Orleans central city.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Orleans, Marrero, Harvey, Timberlane, Belle Chasse, Gretna,
Westwego, Jean Lafitte, Woodmere, Terrytown, Estelle, Arabi,
Barataria, Lafitte and Lakefront Airport.
Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
"poor drainage areas" = most of NOLA

It’s hardly raining where I am. Plus my Street didn’t flood last year but I guess because our pumps were working
