they will call Jimbo an overrated qb developer despite evidence to the contrary, and then praise Orgeron for getting Etling drafted.

what a time to be alive.

Why are you guys so fricking worried about Jimbo? The guy blew it at Florida State.

He won a NC and had 4 top 10 finishes at FSU

Aggies averaged 17th in recruiting. He's number 2

Those 2 programs were a sleeping giant but couldn’t get out of mediocrity. Now Georgia is recruiting on a Alabama level and taking our best recruits from our state just like bama was doing. Aggies were never higher than 14th in recruiting now they are #2.

I imagine you were scared to death when Arkansas got Bret Bielema - the Big 10 championship coach for three consecutive years.

Or when A&M hire Sumlin who had a better record at Houston than Hotlips.

Those two totally crushed LSU during their tenures. Maybe Eaux will be able to resurrect LSU's fortunes against great coaches like these.

With Jimbo you get:

A coach who had gone 14-10 in the ACC in his last three seasons.

A guy whose previous teams player's, fans and administration were glad to see him leave.

He needs to recruit at least as good as he did at FSU to finish in the top 5 of the SEC West.

A&M is ranked 3rd currently with 23 commits.
Jimbo's old school - FSU is ranked #10 with 15 commits. FSU has a higher player average than A&M.

Let's hope we are still both around when he decides to retire.

Wow...a prediction from Ree.

Glad to see you’re finally predicting some 10+ win regular seasons with at least a few SEC championships sprinkled in.

Nope because Arkansas doesn’t have the resources TAMU and UGA have.

I did think Sumlin was a good hire, not on the level of Fisher though.

1 of 4 active coaches with a NC. You can cherry pick to death but we all know, in the end you will just lower the standards for O.

Hello McFly! LSU has been a middle of the pack program for like 6 years.

Who has been better than LSU outside of Bama and most recently UGA?

2013

14 final rank
2014

2015

2017

18 final rank

Every year since 2011 LSU has finished below its preseason ranking. So Id say there are a good 13-25 teams that have been better than LSU in the past 6 years. If that isnt middle of the pack I dont know what is.

A few years ago, Sumlin came into Louisiana and got some big recruits like Speedy Noil and a few others. I still don't recall losing to the Aggies.

I’m not worried about the Aggies. You can dress up a Honda Civic, but at the end of the day it’s still a Honda Civic. UGA is in the east, so to me, it doesn’t cause too much concern. Most recruits will still want to play in the best conference, and in the division against the best competition.

Jimbo is trash. He won't even exceed what Sumlin did at A&M

Really? You really want to compare coaches losing their cool?

Orgeron starts huffing and puffing like a bull whenever he gets a difficult question, not to mention all of his run ins with the media and his numerous physical altercations elsewhere.
