The are on par with LSU in losing in the title game to Alabama.

Well if you're gonna do that, the simple facts that they crossed the 50 yard line more than once and actually scored points in the game gives a few strokes lead over Lsu in that department.

Kiffin - College football is 70 percent recruiting .Mullen's did say that they fired Ed Orgeron 1 year early before he could reap the benefits of his recruiting. We shall see how good or bad he is? The verdict is still out.

Alleva not hiring jimbo will hurt LSU

Alleva not giving somebody 10 years guaranteed is a good thing. That is hideous.

Agreed. Particularly with Jimbo at A&M. It seemed like we were always losing at least one big time recruit to him at Florida State but that was ultimately the end of it since we didn't play them.

Texas, particularly the Houston area, has been really good to us for quite a while. It's going to sting if Jimbo can lock us out in that area and then we've got to face those guys every year.

Agreed...

LSU won't be able to get by with sheer talent alone much longer.

This year is O's only shot at retaining his job imo

Otherwise, LSU risks sliding into a middle of the pack program.

Hello McFly! LSU has been a middle of the pack program for like 6 years.

If you take away the 2 Jameis Winston years Jimbo averaged almost 4 losses a year in the ACC with far superior talent to every opponent, including Clemson.

Why would you take them away?

The people that down voted this are either Alleva/CEO family members or idiots

Hate those "if you take away _______" arguments.

If you take away when O had a team stockpiled with talent given to him, he was 10-29 as a HC. And that's the guy we hired as HC.

I don't think Jimbo is Saban at all but I do think hiring him would be a much safer bet then we bet on right now

He recruits extremely well and fills a void in quarterback development and running an offense. An area that has plagued LSU badly as of late

All he would need to do is hire a good D coordinator

Not saying that would solve all our problems but that idea sounds helluva lot better if you ask me

You get someone that can find good QBs in the SEC and the sky is the limit. Simple as that. Jimbo can get good QBs, he'll always have a puncher's chance to do some real damage in this conference.
