It's all the same bullshite. "My gas just ran out of gas and I need enough money to put in a few gallons". I don't think I ever had someone promise to give me something, but how can a manager at Champs get you a legit free pair of shoes. In other words, even if that was true, you would have a hot pair of shoes.. And well, you really just have to tune them worthless fricks out, do not engage with them. Ignore them.

I was in BR today and the begging was out of control. The only thing worse was the traffic.

I stop them before they start. Then when they get pissy with me I shoot back with: “Hey, I am just maximizing your hourly income by saving you the time of giving me your bullshite story because I am not giving you a penny anyway but if you want to waste your time then go ahead.” It is hilarious to watch them roll that around in their head for a minute. Guy last week actually mumbled Thanks I Guess before walking off.

The pop a lock guy approached me 3 times in a couple months. Then he got arrested. I walked up on him scamming an elderly woman and called him out. I told him he was pathetic and cried in his mugshot. The old woman started cursing him and he ran to his car.
When i left Walgreens, i think he was crying in his car

Had one at the Home Depot with his hood up give me a sob story about a bad battery asked if I could get him the cheapest one at Auto Zone that they sell..then when i considered doing it he gave me his name and phone number to buy it under so he could have the warranty. Auto Zone guy said its a scam and they return it as being the wrong size battery, and because their name is in the computer they pocket the money....I needless to say, didn't buy him a battery or go back..

I got the CHAMPS shoe store story years ago. Told me to call him so he’d have my number. Seemed legit. Wasnt thinking at the time it was a burner phone he was using. I was young and foolish. Gave him $20. Called Champs the next day and the guy that answered apologized and said he’s heard that story multiple times.

That's the story. Except he said that he lives on Riverbend & then went on trying to tell me "his" social security number but I had enough at that point. Maybe after you calling him out, he figured it would be a good idea to drop the mother's house angle

I’ve given money several times. Usually end up feeling like a chump.
One time I bought a guy a McDonalds meal though and he was genuinely happy. He really did only want food.

I think my statement was a tad unclear. I meant that being truly homeless and not making money you'd do this, but since they never seem to leave their spots, it's probably financially beneficial to put on this act.

The gimp lady that roams between the cars on the College Drive off ramp was working hard yesterday. Stopped by my window and waited a bit (I still never looked up). She was carrying a damn LV purse.. I assume it was a knockoff but still.

If i have a few dollars I always give it to them. It feels good helping someone else in a time of need.

If you want to help the “homeless” give money to the Baton Rouge Food Bank. Do not give your money to lying scammers. These people need to go away now.

"They" were working Highland Road at I-10 today. I've usually only seen them as far south as Siegen Lane.
The OT Country Club baws aren't going to stand for that. Something will get done now.

When people give money to the scammers that's when I know I'm having Sonic for dinner.

Maybe if more people yell at them they will go somewhere else.
That or they'll get spooked and shoot someone

I know I hate that the mayor and Dpw director are begging for voters in EBRP to give them more money to mismanage. They are hanging out at certain libraries in the parish this month and next month.

They were inexpensive apartments, there were a few decent bars around, and the neighborhood had not yet turned into a third world war zone.
