It looks like the new shanty town has been set up under the awning of the closed down subway near the intersection of college and perkins. I assume the store closed because there is a load of old clothes, blankets, and general trash piled up under that awning. I have seen some folks sleeping in there in tr mornings as well.

Saw a beggar at back of McDonald's yesterday holding a big sign that said "Need Money for smaller sign".

Just had the same exact experience leaving Fedex on college drive. Car needed to be towed, district manager st champs ( does champs even still resist), friend works at Walmart, but isn’t there. The sherif at Walmart knows him and his mom is a “vip in Baton Rouge”. I told him I heard he had been running this scam for a while and gtfo
