You just said the DL injuries are the reason we lost, then proceeded to list a whole bunch of other shite we did terribly. It was a team loss to a fricking Sun Belt team and that is on the head coach and his staff. End of story. It’s fricking Troy.

Florida
Arkansas
TAMU
Tennessee

All wins against teams that fired their coach

And a 5th win again the interim at Ole Miss

Last season was historically subpar in that regard.

champ if you say so. They weren't SEC quality day in and day out but you don't win 10 games in any conference in the country by being bad.

they were good for a sun belt team but their is no excuse for LSU to lose to Troy. It’s sad how the bar has been lowered. To a point coaches aren’t blamed in losses you are a joke

you can't have an objective view expressed on this board. period. everything is O's fault to some no matter what happened.

I also rewatched that game. LSU played terrible. and that means the players played terrible. the front 7 could not stop them from running up our gut and keeping the ball away from our offense. our OL looked terrible and the players had 4 friggin' turnovers.

it is obvious to anyone without a bias to see that LSU overlooked Troy and gave less than a strong effort. OUR PLAYERS got beat man on man.

ALL OF THE COACHES are to blame for the team not being ready to compete (including Saint Aranda) and the PLAYERS are blame for not executing their assignments. when someone is kicking your butt you better have some damn pride and do something about it.

to the credit of both the coaches and players they came back the next week and began to play like they are capable of.

in summary, teams lay an egg at times. AT ALL LEVELS, including the NFL. that egg stunk the joint up and should not have happened. and you idiots that say i'm making excuses are wrong as hell. if you've played the game, or any game at a higher level you would agree with me.

that loss was turned into a positive by the team later in the season; I damn sure hope it continues to be a positive influence on both the players and coaches.

Sooooo another complete dumbass blaming the entire loss on the coaches. How refreshing.

What's the sense of even putting the players on the field then? Let's just dress out the coaching/training staff and get after it.

Turnovers + DL issues + O offense meddling = Troy loss.

Equal blame....players, bad luck, and coaching.

What do we pay O for?

He doesn’t coach the defense

He doesn’t coach the offense

He doesn’t make sure the teammif focuses or motivated

Is he a 3.5 million dollar recruiting coordinator?

Lowering the bar before the Troy game would be saying "we could lose to Troy." No one was expecting to lose to Troy.
You lower the bar before a game/season....not after. Lowering the bar refers to expectations.

I could have asked (and did) that same question the last few years of Les's tenure.

you are fricking stupid. So coaches take no blame when a team comes out like they did against Troy? Any other coach would be ripped to shreds for losing to a sunbelt team. But O tards pick and choose win he loses games. Unreal

Quote where I said this exact thing. See this is a classic example of how you're misguided and uninformed.

People could actually forfeit IQ points talking to you.

So we basically hired the worst version of Miles.

Holy shite did you even read the whole thread?

If a team isnt prepared that's on coaches.

Players not executing is on the players but a team that over looks a team and isnt prepared is on the coaches.

Nothing is ever fully on a coach or player. But the troy game being an inferior opponent lies more on the coaches than the players.

Fair or not that's how it is. If you believe O and the coaches had no fault in the Troy game then you're being naive.

Not an O fan, but geez, he has the job even though I was vehemently against him getting it. But give him a freaking chance! If he shites the bed I will lead the parade to fire him.

What does assigning responsibility of a terrible loss to the head coach have to do with giving him a chance? It's possible to say that he screwed up AND giving him a chance going forward. It's easy to see that he's made changes and I hope they work out, BUT that does NOT mean he can't be criticized just like ALL coaches in every sport are after an historic loss at home.

Could we have done better than Les? Maybe

But less had as much success as any coach not names CUM or Saban.

I’ll be honest could you imagine if Saban makes it clear he’s going to the NFL sooner and we hire Spurrior?

It’s fricking Troy. No excuse.

This pathetic rationalization is what O has done to LSU.
