MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Police say a Monroe man beat someone so severely the victim had to be airlifted to a hospital in Shreveport for emergency medical treatment.
It happened Sunday afternoon at Riverside Apartments near Forsythe Point in the Garden District.
Police say Ballard Rose attacked a group of people at the pool, hitting several people. Police say Rose punched one victim, knocking him to the ground before kicking him in the face and head multiple times. Aside from hitting several people, police say the suspect touched someone who he was warned not to touch. It's unclear at this time why the suspect attacked the victims but police say he was intoxicated at this time.
After Rose was arrested, he was taken to the ER for treatment, where police say a spit net was put on his face. Police say he ripped the spit net off and hit a nurse with it.
The suspect has been charged with three counts of simple battery, simple assault, second degree battery, and disturbing the peace/drunkeness.

fricker needs to be beat to death. I’m serious. Just put him in a circle with a bunch of guys with sticks and let them beat him to death. Roman- like I know, but it would be effective.

Nah...this is Riverside Apartments...which is on Riverside right next to the levee. (Down from Biedenhorn museum). I think it is Section 8. Had a murder there last year or two. Rumored that alot of the crime in the Garden District originates from the foot traffic from there. No surprise here....

Truth. Riverside and the first 3 or 4 streets are subject to this in the area in select locations

This is going to shock you, but in February this baw was arrested climbing a telephone pole in his underwear, loaded down with meth. Shocking, I know.
