It's happened every episode, and again early in this episode, but Amma is giving off some weird vibes to me. For her supposed age, she is really good at showing difference faces to different people in certain situations. If she was after some bigger goal, it would almost seem like shes psychopathic. She's kind of playing the part of the preacher's girl, but much more extreme. Amma's definitely a walking wildcard, though, and I really don't think she would be violent. I just don't understand why they are showing so many sides of this multi-layered girl? I still think the stepdad is involved.

So the music teacher has vaulted up the list as a suspect to me.
But this wasn’t nearly as dark of an episode as I had imagined .

How much of what we saw at the end was real vs in Camille's head? Because it sure looks like we just saw Amma get kidnapped.
nvm, just saw the preview. Looks like she's not kidnapped...Yet
Wonder what Ashley was doing with all that bleach. Sure looks like she was cleaning up a crime scene.

This show is good but it may have jumped the shark with that woods scene where she shoves his hand in her pants. Wtf was that?
It keeps getting weirder and weirder

So that one 10 second scene causes the show to jump the shark?

Yeah add it to the list. I enjoy it but it reminds me of the movies Mother and Eyes Wide Shut, where it’s very dark and weird shite is always happening
Just not my cup of tea

People who have been sexually assaulted tend to struggle with as adults what/how an appropriate relationship should be. Especially if they were in a situation where they grew up thinking that positive attention by the opposite sex only comes when you frick them/allow them to frick you. Kind of like her referring to being the cheerleader that got gang banged in the woods and some people saying it’d be “consensual”. So it’s not really that out there. And I don’t see where the show has jumped the shark either, but that’s just me.
Cap, that Ashley scene was interesting as hell to me too. It was like she saw a spot on the carpet that was missed and she freaked out.
FYI. The music teacher is the guy that Camille saw at the wake that was giving her a “look” and walked away. Same guy was at the bar with the group making fun of her, who walked out. I’m willing to bet, at the very least, he’s the guy who raped/assaulted Camille at that shack as a kid. Not sure how involved he is in what’s currently going on though.

Gotcha. I don’t mind a little weirdness, but like you i wasn’t a fan of mother! either.

This entire episode was a incredible. That ending.

I got the same vibe that he had something to do with the gang rape of Camille.
Also, any significance to the bartender having a spider tattoo?

It was a red stain on the carpet she was cleaning

Amma definitely gonna end up dead or kidnapped at some point I think. She was definitely fricking the music teacher.
I feel for John Keene. I think the poor kid was just close with his, apparently crazy arse, sister because of them being from somewhere else. And now everybody thinks he did it.

She also cleaned her skin and went into a bit of a panic while doing so.

It's a good show. I wouldn't call it great though. I have a feeling I'm going to hate the ending. But it's mainly because these modern day authors have trouble with endings, because they worry too much about twists.
Both the Sinner (now on Netflix) and Big Little Lies were outstanding up until the last 3-4 episodes where stuff just dragged out and the endings were both bad IMO.
So I'm not getting my hopes up about this show's ending because it reminds me a lot of those two shows. Both were based on novels.
Gone Girl had a bad ending too but it was a pretty great film over all.
Dark Places had a better ending than the aforementioned ones to me.

It was weird how she was scrubbing the hell out of her arms afterward. Of course she could also be OCD. Because she seems obsessive compulsive just in general.
I starting to think the real question on this show is how we managed to get so many headcases in one fricking spot.

Big Little Lies & Gone Girl had great endings.

Wait a minute, Amma was definitely dead on the floor in that shed.
If you go back to the beginning of the episode. You see the sheriff pissed off that someone shot the STOP sign and that matches the boys in the Jeep Cherokee following the girls on skates.
(Btw, I did not watch the preview for E5)

I liked Big Little Lies ending. I read Gone Girl before I saw the movie and preferred the book’s ending. But didn’t hate the movie ending.

In your opinion and that's fine but it's not an objective fact. Neither is my opinion.

I liked Gone Girls ending, but that seemed to be a pretty polarizing one
