I’ve wondered this as well. She’s seems manipulative enough.

ETA: Like they mentioned Adora tutoring one of the girls. Could it be enough to make her jealous of Adora fawning over another teenage girl?

All I know is Wind Gap is a fricked up town. It would not surprise me one bit if Amma is letting the music teaching have sex with her while manipulating him to kill for her.

This series is exactly what true detective should have transpired into. Creepy, Small town murder stories with incredible acting.

I agree. This feels like a sequal to True Detective season 1.

The only connections I can see between the two dramas are small town/community politics and the main characters (Rust Cohle in this example) both suffering from deep states of depression/difficulties with their subconscious.

To kill people she was friends with? That just doesn't add up in this situation. Don't get me wrong. That music teacher is fricked in the head. But I don't think a 15-year-old who is drunk the majority of the time would be able to hold that type of information in. Amma legit tries to impress every adult figure she deems bigger than the town of Wind Gap.

Incredible episode, cleaning of the blood leaves me thinking Ashley is directly involved in the killings or is aware of who is.

I'm just getting into it. On Episode 3. I'm shocked it's taken this long for Amy Adams to get a lead role in a major show/movie.

Sort of shared the lead with Jeremy Renner but fair enough.

Oscar nominated for best lead actress but yes it was an ensemble

That’s about as much of a lead any actor is gonna get unless you become a key comic book superhero or you’re just a mega star like a Denzel and can do something like the Equalizer

Arrival was Amy Adams’ movie, without a doubt.

Considering Amma is a natural progression and it occurred to me as well. Although I am now finding her to be too overtly manipulative to seriously consider her any longer.

They must've tapped into my dream feed with the scene where Amy Adams shoves ol dude's hand down her pants.

Both Amma and Adora are the most insufferable characters I can remember in any show in recent years. I assume that is the idea so the writers and casting folks did a great job.

Yeah I saw that too but wasn't sure what to make of it. That whole dynamic is bizarre. I think her encounter with the sheriff really set off the husband.

At this point I'm starting to think that this is like Hot Fuzz where the whole town is killing the girls for virtually no reason

Wasn’t Enchanted a major movie that was a box office success, and of which she was clearly the top billed star? They are making a sequel.

Also, Sheriff Vickery coming to Adora to tell her "Camille is dangerous and Amma is in danger".

That’s not what he said, and I think it was clearly on purpose that he didn’t say it that way. He said “one daughter’s in danger and the other is dangerous.” We assumed he meant that Camille is the dangerous one and Amma in danger, but maybe not.

Do we know that? We don’t know how far back that flashback is. He did go on to Adora about “Did you forget I lost a daughter too?” It seems like he got together with Adora after Chammile’s sister who died was conceived—I don’t think he was her father. Maybe he met a Adora while they were visiting their daughter’s in rehab?

I think that poster is a book reader and let a spoiler slip. And it pisses me off. If you’ve read the goddamn books, ANYTHING you say is a spoiler. Even the dude who merely said, it gets more complicated than that. That’s a fricking spoiler. Telling us stuff that doesn’t happen is a spoiler. If you’ve read the books, I’ll thank you to stfu or gtfo. Tia
