Not sure I am reading that right, did you put in 24 miles today?

If so, what distance is your race and how far away is it?

Is the goal to just get your body used to being on your feet/in motion for a certain time?

Congrats on the distance and time.

What do you guys do about blisters?

Pop them, cover them, just let nature take its course?

I have fresh ones on my ankles, arches, and between toes.

Pretty sure I need new shoes and socks, but that doesn't heal what I earned this week.

I think that meant minutes but I could be wrong. I don’t know the benefits of 3 miles walking in there.

Try using a lubricant. Squirrels Nut Butter is a good one you can use around your dick and on your feet as well. Ankle and arch blisters aren't nearly as common as toe and heel blisters. While you could definitely benefit from upgrading your socks, sounds like you should give some consideration to changing your shoe as well.

Had some foot/ankle pain today when I woke up, had me limping pretty good

Loosened up and doesn’t hurt now. Hopefully just some stiffness. Hurt that ankle a few years ago and it flares up occasionally

Won my age group yesterday in the local fundraising 5K. About 650 participants. 9th overall. So what if most of them were elementary kids. They need to step up their game!

Actually did decent for wet roads and a cold start. It started out as a fun run until the guys I was running with turned it into a race.

So back in training mode for Texas 70.3.

15 Squats
15 chest press
push weights across the floor
50 lunges with kettlebells
10 burpees with weights
15 back fly
10 box jumps

repeat 5x

That was me! Thanks man, appreciate it! Hadn't really raced a 5k since like last May and it was my current PR which was 21:15. Hit 19:57 Saturday and was PUMPPPPED! I was just hoping to break 21, when I realized I had a shot at 20 I had to take it!

Congrats!

That is one of my biggest goals right now. You are giving me confidence, as my current PR is 21:27. I have been consistently running more this year too, so I am hoping I can get it at some point this year.

Negative. She can't really do long distance running anymore. Found our she has torn labrum in her hip and when they did the MRI doc disovered she was born with hip displasia. Never before diagnosed. Sucks. She had some shots and can run 6 miles or so, but she isn't really doing any races. She may do some sprints in the summer
