Now that's not fair. Being an Aggie, you've been subject to every gay joke out there. Of course you have comebacks ready.

Help!

Ran a half marathon 2 months ago (at about an 11 min/mile pace). I have only run about 5 times since not anticipating doing another one any time soon.

I was just reminded that I'm suppose to be doing one on March 2nd and I'd like not to disappoint. I'd also like to improve my time.

What sort of regimen would you suggest? I can probably do 4-6 miles my race pace pretty comfortably. I frankly didn't train that much ahead of the first one.

I had the day off today, so the plan was to go to the gym and cross-train. Ended up running 4 miles @8:47 pace around lunch time because I was bored and then went to the gym for a bit. Ended with rowing intervals- 1min/1min rest (light row), 2/2, 3/3, & 4/4.

At this point, I just suggest putting in the miles. I'd try to run 5x a week. Just get in the miles. That's only 4 weeks. 20 runs, make them count.

59! Not sure how it calculates exactly. Think it definitely overestimates my predicted race paces.

My Polar says 64. Definitely on the high side, I’d imagine. I have an appt to do the treadmill test tomorrow.

55 here. Lol. I should get the lab test done but I don’t want to pay for it.

I'm a 55 and significantly slower / more out of shape than you.

Not sure how it's calculated either. I started at a 41 in September.

Yeah it ain’t cheap! Mine tomorrow is “free” because I paid like $30 extra last time for 1 more of each VO2 & BF%. Gonna use those 2 tomorrow.

Maybe for my birthday lol

At the risk of sounding like an a-hole, my 8 miles @ 6:55 today was surprisingly easy

It should be for a guy that has a v02 max of 59. That translates to a 1:19 half marathon. :D

Just twisting your tit.

My Garmin says 56...it peaked to 57 after my half PR at LA.
I like to think I am just pretty mentally strong/stubborn and good at withstanding pain when I need too. But I am really not sure, didn't know VO2 max actually converted to a pace
