Actual attendance (or the percentage of capacity filled) at many, many schools has been decreasing for the past few years. Increasingly many folks simply don't want the hassle of going to games.

LSU was 6th in Average Attendance last season at 98,506. That was 3rd best in the SEC. The sky isn't falling.

Here it is. Just grateful to be in Tiger Stadium. That's the problem with the situation with the football team. Too many people aren't demanding excellence for the amount of money they're spending. What other part of life would someone do that?

Let’s ask Bama if it’s a problem for them

God what is it with you people and comparing every single thing to Bama? Bama this. Bama that. You know this is a problem all over CFB. You people think these issues are LSU exclusive.

I have never seen this many tickets available especially with the sidelines. While there are plenty of haters upset with the coaches / AD, and those will say that is the main reason, I have a feeling that most of those same people kept their tickets, assuming they had them to begin with. Most of the haters are passionate LSU fans and need wins before they believe, but believe me, they kept their tickets just like I did when I began to hate Les. I think LSU lost many of their older fan base, especially those that could afford the $925+ TAF fees, since they can no longer handle the heat, the traffic, better entertainment options, and the big screen locally. While that applies to so many of the fans and the drop in attendance nationwide, I think it hits that demographic the most and it showed when I upgraded all my sections. BTW, I was not able to improve my Club seats and from what I understand, they sold all of them. That goes back to the competing of the entertainment dollar nationwide. The Club provides you a party, A/C, food, liquor, socializing, TVs, and football with seats that are basically upper deck at a premium price - over 10k for 4. Wins will solve a bunch, but until you solve basic issues such as traffic, concessions, restrooms, clean environment, family friendly, better entertainment, etc, you will continue to decline.

yes, that is what was said. i have put lots of money into this program like many others. I started with a seat in lower bowl in 98 and moved to WU26 in 1999. of course that changed to 617 with the new WU being built.

Hahaha ... you have a point I suppose. But, you can always get a divorce. No matter how disappointed I am with what's going on, I can't stop loving LSU. That will never happen.

This is not an LSU specific problem...ticket sales are declining across the nation.

People are opting for the comfort of their home rather than thousands of dollars for tickets.

Now, if LSU were preseason ranked in the top 5, I am sure sales would not be an issue.
