Big win for General Landry..

Was it Landry's investigators that messed up the chain of custody? I assume it was, since you claim to be a lawyer, and are laying blame at Landry's feet.

I'm not sure if it was the AG's prosecutors or the AP investigators. I know the guy who made the recording who turned it into authorities immediately thereafter. This wasn't an accidental botch, but a hatchet job. F&%k those corrupt POS's. "Justice" Department my arse!

This is f&%king bullshite. He was on tape. He didn't even deny doing it. He only won the initial election by a few dozen votes (mostly dead voters). This is what torches and pitchforks were made for. Come on APers! Get off your arses and run this corrupt fricker (and all of those in the DA's office and courthouse that protected him) out of town on a rail!

And y'all all claim to have left EBR for AP because EBR is corrupt.

My family has lived in AP for 150 years. It’s not all white flight out there.

My family lives mostly in ascension parish. I think that there are good people in this Parish but there are corrupt officials in every county and parish. This isn’t Vatican City .

I don’t know what happened with the Parish President. I am glad I don’t live in BR anymore

I think Cointment moved back to BR
They will have a jambalaya fundraiser to help ole Matassa out
The total incompetence in approving subdivisions is going to make Ascension less desirable without improved roads.

Now that that's behind him he can get back to the great work that the people of Ascension elected him to do. Who's up for another 800 unit DR Horton subdivision on a narrow road?

Didn't you hear the parish is going to take over the state road and we will all be driving on the these great golden roads.

What's hilarious is that back in late 2012 my wife and I were looking for a house and were considering DSLD neighborhoods in LP and AP (Trash; I know). One of the floorplans we were considering wasn't built yet in the LP neighborhood, so the DSLD folks were like, "You can go see the exact floorplan you like in this hood over in Ascension. Try Lot # yadda yadda yadda."

So we drive over and take a look around. The house was open and hadn't been staged, etc. It ultimately wasn't exactly what we were looking for (honestly it was too big for us; OT poor I know).

The humorous thing about it was that in LP that same house-same lot size, same floor plan, same finishes, same colors, etc.-was $35,000 less. Of course real-estate is all location. But a lot of you recent transplants who made the choice of AP over LP got your d!cks knocked in the dirt by not locating out here in God's Country with us in LP.

On top of that you've stacked some absolute corrupt, inept and sleazy politics on top of it. Not that LP is pure as the driven snow mind you...but at least you get a cheaper house and more equity out of the bargain here.

Also-Ungelsby took over for Camille Gravel as the go-to lawyer of the political class when you wanted to roll out the legal version of the Guns of the Navarone.

If I'm not mistaken, Rob Marrioneaux practices with him now as well. I'm certain he's not inexpensive, either.

A developer bought some property a few doors down from my parent's house. He is going to put 17 houses on 2.5ac. This is in a hood with $750k-2.5MM homes, none of which look alike, and all are older than 50 years. All of this traffic goes down one neighborhood road, and all of the years worth of construction vehicles will be going down one neighborhood road, so it'll be blocking people's homes most of the time since there isn't any room in the development to park.

It blows my mind what zoning and city council approves. Even the Fire Dept stepped in and was against it, because they won't be able to get trucks in there since the houses take up all of the space. They weren't gonna approve it until he handed them falsified survey results, and had some politician invest and speak for him in all meetings. Such a shite show, but goes to show you can get anything done with a little corruption and political clout

I thought there was supposed to be a halt to new construction a while back. But, now there seems to be a new subdivision or apartment complex going up every day.

Did you use that $35,000 for your cooking operation?
