When will there be a special election? McCain was literally just re-elected last November. In theory a appointee could serve out the rest of his term. I have no idea what the Arizona Constitution says for special elections.
Some states require a special election be scheduled within a certain time of resignation, death, impeachment, etc. and some allow an appointee to serve out remainder of term.

My wife actually used to work for a construction company called McStain, lol. Swear to god-they were Colorado home builders, most famous for building Indian Peaks outside Boulder ( where I lived ).
