Pretty similar to yours. I'd add Upgrade as well. Annihilation has been my favorite.

I thought A Quiet Place was very good.

Is Hostiles considered a 2018 movie?
ETA: I just looked it up. It had a limited release on December 22nd and a wide release on January 26th.
So, Hostiles.

Annihilation
Ready Player One
Hard to pick these 2 since I've read the books but they are the only 2 movies I've enjoyed.

So you just listed all the movies you saw then. Ready Player One was garbage.

Let me pick it for you: it’s Annihilation. Annihilation was smart and I still don’t quite know what to think of it. I’ve got tons of thoughts about Ready Player One, and all but the Shining sequence are negative. “Oh I have a red birth mark on my face so therefore I’m not attractive.” How about you show some balls, Spielberg, and make the chick actually ugly. If you are an OT 10 but just have a red birthmark across your face, no dude but the most petty (ie someone you don’t want to date) is going to give a shite.
I really think this movie should have been in the 20s on the T-Meter, because it shows absolutely no understanding for online culture. They should have given it to Edgar Wright and he should have done a complete reimagining of it akin to Children of Men, and made it a masterpiece.

my daughter (30 no pics) went with me to see this. Admittedly I never seen the first one but I never laughed (she did). I know I'm an old fart(51) but that shite was stupid

I can’t imagine anyone 50 or older liking Deadpool. It’s made for my generation, and I’d find it weird if you did like it.
BTW, is your daughter single and in Denver? 30 year old nice guy here.

bullshite. I watched it with both my parents who are in their late 60s and they enjoyed it. I know plenty of other late middle aged people who enjoyed it. But it’s not for everyone

Hard to make a masterpiece with a horribly written book in the first place

It ain’t gonna win any awards but I enjoyed Rampage. Just a good fun solid monster movie.

Infinity War- OK but I usually dislike superhero movies
Death of Stalin - hilarious. Hamm steals the movie
Hereditary - OK but I missed a LOT
A Quiet Place - loved it
Annihilation - great idea and ending but just a boring movie
Deadpool 2 - hilarious
Ready Player One - OK
