What % of current actors and actresses had to perform grotesque acts to get their shot?

Honestly ever since the Weinstein scandal opened Pandora’s Box, I’ve found myself watching movies and shows randomly pausing wondering how the actor/actress I’m watching “broke in”.
It’s kind of the same feeling I get watching Tom Cruise act in anything after watching Going Clear.

Reading about Hollywood in the '30s, most of them would be the answer then.
There's a famous discussion between Clark Gable and Joan Crawford who were both lovers and friends, and they talked about who all you were having sex with to get the jobs they wanted.
Take a look at how few woman stars had their own children; they adopted. Back then there were STDs and no cures.
Nowadays, there were at least a few (Kathleen Turner, in a recent interview, said she found great success in her first movie which wasn't expected to be a major hit. Because of that she got additional jobs without putting out, like so many others did.)

high % and even higher if they started as kids (as sick as that is) there are alot of sick people in hollywood from everything i have gathered. And the child actors are so easy to take advantage of, and their parents for the most part, are nothing but enablers who want their child to become rich and famous at any cost.

Also, the conversation continues that she would probably still be sleeping with the director if they both weren’t appalled with how little sexual chemistry there was between them.
