Anyone else get annoyed when someone has a card decline at checkout and they keep swiping?

If you’re broke, leave, money won’t magically go into your account. They’ll keep swiping, inserting the chip, have the cashier enter in the number manually, etc.
Meanwhile customers with money to actually pay for our stuff have to wait and have our time wasted.
The cashiers need to seriously start adopting a policy of two declines means leave, you have no money.

I don’t shop at poor people stores so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I get more annoyed watching the government issued cards get swiped...

You seem like a silly little bitch.

I don’t give $0.68 about this subject.

I had that happen to me a few weeks ago. I told the lady behind me to skip, walked over to the ATM 10 ft away and withdrew cash from the same card that was declined. Those damn chip readers seem to have problems sometimes imo.

Or maybe there was an issue? Maybe they do live that life. Does it make you that mad to bitch on a forum? Did you give them advice or ask what their problem was? No. Just another first world problem of not having patience or maturity.

I went to Walmarts the other day and had about $150.00 of stuff and 5 people behind me in line.
I went to pay and my card was not in my wallet , started freaking out thinking someone stole it.
Had to leave all my stuff and look like some broke fool walking out, later found where it fell out in my laptop bag.
shite happens

All the time with the rounded edge readers. These ones are horrendous.
We had to replace them almost daily when we first activated the chip readers.

I’m sure every now and then there’s a problem, but some raggy dude at the corner store on the way to the office is probably just hoping someone pays for him

Actually I just use Apple Pay on my phone if they have a reader for it. It’s nice

I keep all of my spare cash in savings. It happens to me sometimes.

These are the best right now, and thankfully they’re widespread now.

I forget my pin all the time, so when I do I'll try it until I get it right. I'm not holdin you up from buying your cheetos.
Posted on 6/6/18 at 8:36 pm to Parmen
They may have made a mistake entering the pin or zip code. We've all done that.

Haven’t seen this in a few years, but I’d get aggravated in line at ATMs when people got “Insufficient Funds” and stood there staring at the machine instead of moving out of the way.
The ATM isn’t lying. You really don’t have any money.
