Some of those guys will improve, some won't. Some could get worse.

We really need help from this recruiting class.

don't know why exactly everyone is so sure Duplantis is gone. Slap singles hitters with shitty outfield arms aren't exactly top MLB draftees.

Signed, Andrew Stevenson.

I hope you all are right but I just don’t think the current staff can get us back to a NC. We have had the talent since 09 we are just missing something .

Well this is completely wrong. I’d say basketball is more competitive but baseball is close behind. When is the last time a Costal Carolina competed for a championship in football?

Some years it just doesn’t work out. This wasn’t supposed to be a rebuilding year but with injuries I’m just happy we made it this far.

I think that Hilliard and Cabrera are the only freshman recruits that have had a big impact. The other big recruits have been hurt. (Labas and Storz). And Hilliard is not playing this weekend. So you have just one freshman from last years class you are able to use.

After this years #3 class if we get enough guys to campus we’ll be just fine.

This year was not the norm. Top 8 seeds are the norm.

We also got shipped out to the worst possible regional site. OSU is a very good team. Still not sure how we held them to 1 run twice last year.

Baseball has more parity and it’s no longer the 90’s.

All that said, if Paul doesn’t have this team deep in the post season next year I will be surprised.

Next 2-3 years should be good for baseball.

ETA: Hitting coach needs to be solved. Even though I don’t think statistically we are that bad, we don’t seem to have an approach at the plate and we don’t try to hit the ball where it’s pitches. Leading to weak double play ground balls.

How so? Several major colleges don’t even have teams in the NE. Basketball every school competed D1. Football is football , it’s king. Baseball isn’t a major sport for half the country . That’s how CofC could win . To many major players don’t play it or really don’t care

Will be better if get some solid pitchers and hess is more of a reliever not a starter. Keep peterson as a closer, that kid is solid. Whats wromg with labas amd storz. Those two guys barely played all year.

Losing our best hitter

Best two hitters and 2/3rds of the outfield.

Obviously, pitching will be better

Then why don’t a few teams when most of the titles like in football and basketball?

Football has far less parity than college baseball

In the last 10 years there have been 9 different schools win the championship. You can’t say that for football or basketball. There’s a ton of parity in college baseball.

Watch it now. Logic will get you in trouble here.

That proves it. We still need to recruit better consistently.

He was recently listed there? Haven’t seen him rated that high since he was a freshman.
Players are only picked in the top 10 rounds if they verbally agree to a deal before picked or if a team is sure they will honor whatever number they told scouts. It’s why too 50 hs recruits get picked in the 30th round. Not because there was hundreds of guys better, but bc nobody wanted to waste a pick

You do realize this goes against your point. Also, it’s Coastal Carolina not College of Charleston.

Stevenson was a legit 70 grade fielder and had some power potential once he fixed his fricked up swing. He was a much better pro prospect but Duplantis has been a more consistent college hitter

I don’t disagree, but Duplantis will still be a top 5 round pick.

Sorry about that . Just got back from Charleston so Cof C stuck in head. My point is simply because so many big schools don't care about the sport it allows smaller schools to do well however those smaller schools don't have the resources or money like a LSU . We should dominate them. We don't .
