Up until Smart Phones became pervasive. Until then you had quality posters taking the time to post. Back then there was a counter at the bottom of the screen telling you how many and who was online, along with how many lurkers.
Now with smart phones, any old douche bag can have instant access.There are so many people on the board now, good threads don't have a chance for responses to be read and replied to before getting washed over by a bunch of idiotic "germans" and "better in the quad" responses.
