I watch the local news in Mobile and all of the commercials and tv stations always promote how Mobile is located on the beach.

Mobile is such a shithole place. They want to be a pretend big city and try to attract people by saying that Mobile is on the beach

From mobile and I definitely don’t want to move back but it’s not a bad spot. Grew up on the water went fishing every afternoon and duck hunting in the mornings. All I had to do was lower the boat out the lift and take off.

Don’t forget....Mardi Gras originated there too.

You realize the Mobile TV market includes the AL gulf coast and Pensacola/Ft. Walton?

I mean it offers a lot more than most cities/metros that are smaller than 500,000. Lot of growth there too so something is working.

It’s not a shithole but folks who live there think they’re superior to Nola when reality they are just New Orleans little sister.

Are you there for work or just randomly watch various local news streams?

Who runs that shithole? A two decade traffic jam. Four lanes that funnel into two.

I’ve driven through Alabama 50+ times. Never stayed in mobile. Not proud to say I have stopped in Birmingham.

Mobile can't even see a beach with a telescope.. LMAO! I'm pretty sure it's high up on the trashy arse city scale with Montgomery and Baton Rouge. Places there is just no desire to go.

They could clean that shite up too; if it weren't for the liberal fricks keeping cities poor and unbearable.

The insecurity in New Orleans and Louisiana is strong. And for good reason.

Born raised in Fairhope and is where I currently reside. I've never made that claim. When people ask where Fairhope is, I usually say across the bay from Mobile and or about 30-40 from GS/ OB

If I wasn't concerned by a bunch of yokels trashing it up, I'd be promoting the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. It's the most biodiverse ecosystem in all of North America and absolutely fricking stunning to paddle down.
