Please no more band members making post.

Miles Brennan could start at Bama, he sure as hell was better in high school in Than AJ or Coker and I saw almost all their games. He can make all the throws. He is a fricking top 15 4 star recruit idiots. We was ranked at camp right behind Tua. He he isn’t ready or doesn’t start at LSU then we have very serious development problems.

I assume this is all back wash from change in OCs, but all you Tuba players expecting Brett Favre or the next great generational QB to come to LSU are completely ducking delusional. Even If my son was the next 5 star QB Messiah, LSU would be unlikely to be In the mix and I bleed purple and gold and can’t count all the family members that played for the tigers on both hands. Would do you think the real 5star dads are thinking.

Bebe must get thought this year and get fan support, beat Bama and Alleva must be replaced by competent AD, and LSU must show it can properly development 4 star QBs, to even be in the mix for top QBs.

That’s a lot of ifs.

Look, I am not a big O supporter, but now you are just sounding stupid.

Etling was a senior, and I'm sure the hopes were Brennan would come in and take over this season. Assuming that's the plan, it made little sense to redshirt him last year. He benefited more from getting some experience last season, assuming he would very possibly be starting this season.

LN redshirted probably to make sure his knees were 100%. He hasn't played much in 2 years, now 3 after his redshirt year. It made sense for him to redshirt.

Now that things have changed, it makes sense for Brennan to RS, if Burrow will start. And assuming McMillan can handle the back up role adequately.

Yep

I think one QB leaves, but I also believe, and have said this plenty myself, that Brennan should redshirt. I don't think this is the coaching staff to improve Narcisse into what we need as far as passing goes, so if Brennan stays patient, I see him starting as a redshirt junior with two years to play. Unless something crazy happens, I doubt we pick up some Dynamo QB from high school during these next two years.

Brennan should have redshirted last year.

Tell that to the geniuses that called Orgeron “Meddling Ed” because he wouldn’t let Matt Canada play him last year.

Brennan needs to grow into his frame. Some people grow at different rates. One year of red shirt would do him some good.

No reason for him not to if he doesn’t start or play meaningful snaps in first half of season

no, there have been many examples. Usually, if a guy has it, he shows it quickly.

So you think Brenan will red shirt now, to sit behind Burrow this year AND next year if he stays?

Go ahead and name me the highly successful starting freshman QBs last season. I'll even let you use RS FR in your argument.

Why not? He would have his opportunity to take over as a seasoned, physically ready RS Jr. That should be what is realistically expected from him anyway.

I would be surprised if McMillan is going to hang around to be a backup. I think he tries to find a lower rated program to compete for a starting job.

Has he graduated and could be a grad transfer? If so, he probably should. Can't blame him either.

I hope Myles sticks around and redshirts a year - best case for him: he beats out Burrow and becomes a star, worst case: he rides the pine for two years getting bigger and better and becomes the starter in 2020, or, if beat out by a younger stud, he transfers as that year's "Joe Burrow"-type savior for another school and has two years of eligibility.

awhile back, I listed the starting Fr and RS Fr QBs over the last few years. THe list was long. And impressive.

If you don't think that young QBs can't play, and play very well, you're just fricking nuts.

The "young QB" excuse is from the 1970s. It's doesn't work anymore.

The way I see it, McMillan is definitely gone. This was his best chance to be a starter and there’s no way he sticks around.

I also think Narcisse will leave and take the Lindsey Scott route - go to a JC where he can play and prove he’s still got “it” and that he’s healthy, and then transfer to a larger school where he’ll have the best chance to play. Narcisse has been sitting for 3 years and he’s not going to sit for 2 more (at least) waiting to play.

That leaves Brennan as the backup, meaning he’ll be unable to redshirt this year. He wouldn’t hit the field until he’s a SR in his last year of eligibility. Heck, he might transfer too

So a guy who was the savior, the man, the guy, etc etc is going to take a redshirt and just smile? If they try to redshirt him, he's transferring. It is the way it is today with all the players.
