Take your PFD off when you're in 2-3' of water...too dangerous, get disqualified
Put dozens of kayaks out on the water all through the middle of the night...no problem

Are you aware of any entity which hosts kayak tournaments that doesn't require you to wear a PFD? I'm not, and I fish a bunch of different ones.

I didn’t fish the tourney but fished the LDWF launch past couple days. Caught a lil mess of reds and trout fri early am, after that the bite completely died for us. No one I spoke to this morning did any good.
And yes, the wind sucked.

It was. I fished behind the wlf this am. Went out 2 miles and only saw 1 trout caught all am.

I was in there this am, after I realized it was a continuation of yesterday afternoon, we loaded up and hauled arse back home.
