That Friday match up could be epic if Hilliard is on.

Same excuse for him in last weeks start I suppose?

Look, he is a great pitcher. No doubt about that. But to act like its an automatic L just because he is pitching is ignorant.

Now, if you want to say its an automatic L because we are playing on the road, that would be harder to make an argument against.

Our approach is always to swing early and often so this may actually be a decent matchup for us. Just have to hope we find some holes.

Ole Miss rocked his arse last week. All that tells me is swing early and often

That really doesnt have much to do with this year. Especially because lsu seems to have a knack for rocking great pitchers at the box. We struggle alot more with them on the road the last couple years.

Despite those great numbers, he's lost 3 games this year.

And yet there will still be people complaining that LSU hitters aren’t taking enough pitches. Guys like this you go up expecting strikes and a lot of them. Got to attack from pitch one of the at bat. You get behind against him and you are in trouble.

I was taking the high road when I said CM had a bad day vs. the Tigers last year. We raped his arse. He was on the bench before many of the tiger fans got seated.

I like Hess on Thursday to step up in a big game.

Mize is tough but beatable. We're not the type of team that should just hack away at him at all costs. We need to work pitch counts if he's not on and run the bases well. When called upon, execute small ball. Hilliard is due for a dominant outing. It would be an enormous step for his future with a road win against Mize at Auburn.

Saturday is a coin flip.

We're just so miserable on the road this year. If we're going to make any semblance of a post season run, it starts with 2 wins at Auburn.
