Not hardly. But, even if that were true, what would be the difference in the "you hate LSU and hope they lose" comments?

We’ve been the team on the descent for like 5 years now per these types of articles

Starting to think that the program has taken a step in recent years. Maybe it has something to do with O being hired.

Oddly, you left off the next sentence.
Well my point was the narrative that this somehow isn’t still a very talented roster. That we are somehow so depleted that having a few players out against Troy makes a loss to a team without a single NFL player less embarrassing.
Are there obstacles to overcome in 2018, of course. We play a few really good teams and our offense is obviously a work in progress. An SEC Championship year would be a surprise imo, but a good coaching staff ahould make 10-2 with a NY6 bowl a very attainable goal.
My gripe has always been the lowering of expectations based on some invented shortage of talent. There is none.

Irony.

Are you saying that the majority of the O support crowd do NOT say that he inherited a sub par talented team and that 8 wins would be a good season this year? I've seen both of those said quite a lot.
I've seen the "cupboard is bare" argument quite a few times. I think some try to point out disproportional recruiting for position groups, (ie. numbers of DBs and WRs vs LBs and OL/DL)as well as quality, but as we saw in the last recruiting class we came up short on CB and RB (elite level) when those were noted areas of need.
That being said I think it's inaccurate to look at a single class as a marker. I think you have to review a 3 class sample to get a true measure. JMHO

Just off the top of my head, Ree, p&g, boxcar willie and Space Cowboy have all argued that recruiting rankings mean nothing and that Les left the roster depleted of talent.
One poster even compared the roster to a Yugo last year.

Say CheeriO is lame to try to stomp it out?
It is pretty lame, I'd rather the "O'gasms"

I have no agenda at all. There have been plenty of different people that say that O inherited a mess from Miles. There have been less that say 8 wins would be a good season. I disagree with both and it seems you do too.
My only point about the "hate LSU" comments is that people do tend to take the actions of one or two people and apply that to everyone they disagree with.

CheeriO is lame and you should hate yourself for using it.

I think it would be difficult for anyone to disagree with any of those points.

Can't say I really disagree with anything you posted. The 10-2 projection I agree is attainable, but there with have to be a lot of things line up correctly for that to happen such as:
Minimal injuries to critical positions
Speed with which offense settles in to new system
QB development and new RB development
Defense's ability to create turnovers (only knock on Aranda's D)
Special teams function as a net plus
Now the first we have limited control. The other 4 are on the coaches and to a lesser extent the players so we shall see.

2018 will be a Top 4 class

Nah, it's clever. Plus I thought Chicken coined it.
