4-5 continents in 2-3 weeks

How tired will I be? I have business trips to Siberia (is that Asia or Europe), north Africa, Mexico, Europe, and South America all in about 2-3 weeks this summer. I plan to start in Siberia and just start heading west.
Will I be 100% out of gas at the end?
How do people that so this kind of stuff do it?
Hotel exercise? Don't eat too heavy at the evening work dinners? Sleeping pills on the plane?

Different chick in every city.
Siberia is in Asia. This sounds like a trip with zero time to really take in the places you’re going, which is a shame. I hope you’re at least getting air miles.

You're right - I will have zero time. Fortunately, I've been to most of them before with good hosts to show me around, but never north Africa or Mexico.
I am not getting good air miles since several of these are different local carriers. Doesn't matter too much to me as almost all of my air travel is for business anyway.

Good luck OP. Yeah, you’re going to be wiped out. I’ve done a couple quick turnarounds to far off destinations, but nothing like that.

I actually like to go to the hotel gym after work and then eat a larger meal. That’s made for the best sleep for me.

That's going to be rough. The time zone changes are going to be really hard. Younare going to want to basically be exercising and sleeping anytime you are not on a plane or working. By exercising I mean anything to move around just so your body can get tired and adjusted.
Why so much? And cross crossing is nuts. Going to be hard to even enjoy. All business class flights at least? I hope you sleep well in those.

I am an avid runner, so I always find a way to get in 5-7 miles before work which helps me sleep on the road. But the time changes are going to be tough to overcome. Is it better to start in latin america and head east or the other way around.
I am leading a merger project and the combined business units are quite far-flung. These few weeks are some major kickoffs, which is why they have to be shoved so close together so you can try and ensure consistent timing of important information.

I find it easier to head east rather than west....another tip is to set your watch to destination time immediately upon boarding. Two meals a day, rather than three, might also help. A larger, later breakfast in lieu of lunch, then a light snack on days when you know you have big business dinners...I'd also bring along a supply of your favorite dried fruits, nuts, protein bars, other shelf stable stuff so when you get the munchies at odd hours, you can eat. Higher fiber food choices are good as well (apples, for example).

Vy'tamin V and Ambien. My neighbor who is an international sales manager travels a similar schedule like you just mentioned regularly, and the above is his diet during those times. This dude flew in from Tokyo to LAX, came to his condo, washed clothes, went back to LAX, flew to NYC, then to Europe the next day. I couldn't imagine doing that regularly. Hats off to you and him.

What carriers? You might be surprised how far airline alliances go.
If you're flying business class it won't be nearly as bad, hopefully you head in one general direction going to these places.

I did 4 continents in about 4 weeks last summer. Atlanta-based but had trips to London, Buenos Aires, New Delhi and Singapore in that time. All in business class which makes it much easier. I like going west better than east, and it’s easier for me to adjust to Asia than Europe. The short flight time overnight to Europe doesn’t allow for a good sleep inflight whereas 24hrs across 2 flights allows good sleep time.
Melatonin at bedtime every night in the new time zone helps. Don’t think about what time it was where you were or jet lag - the time is the local time Always!!
Get sleep when/where you can and roll with whatever comes up.

2, 7, and 9. They enjoy it and are fluent in a second language. They also have friends from all over Europe now.
The tough part is the wife. but she is on board and this was definitely a joint decision. She plans all of our trips and does a travel blog. It's her passion.

Man, i wish i had the jobs you guys have. Im totally jealous of the cash flow of the people on this board to travel the world all over year after year

Being able to travel isn’t just about cash flow: it’s about prioritizing travel over other uses for your discretionary spending. I don’t have cable....what some ppl spend on TV in a year (between Netflix, TiVo or similar services, cable or satellite TV) could easily fund a couple of decent trips out of the country. Ditto for cell phone plans, expensive personal services (mani/pedi, dyed or processed hair), and sports tickets. No LSU season tickets means another trip....an easy decision for me, but not the priority of others. Chacun a son gout....
