I'm kind of alarmed at the number of lawnmower accidents that are being reported on this thread. I've never known anyone who had any sort of accident with a lawnmower.

Lawnmower accidents happen pretty regularly. My GF works in the ER and she told me they had a lawnmower accident just last week. Usually its a clumsy 12 year old that runs over his own foot and loses a few toes. Not a grown adult running over their own child and having to amputate their entire foot.

Part of me feels bad for the dad and part of me wants to slap him for allowing his kid to play that close to the lawn mower.

THIS.

Sure, accidents can happen to even the best parents. Most aren't whored out on Facebook for the entire world to see. And soooo much cringe at the Dad's writing. That girl never had a chance.

She'll never be able to enjoy an amusement park. You must be this tall to ride the rides and she'll always be a foot short.

A girl I went to elementary school lost her foot when she feel off a lawnmower that she was riding on while her dad mowed. Never knew if it was a push mower or riding mower, but extremely stupid either way.

It’s insane how many people let their kids play around lawnmowers...but sometimes it’s also kids not knowing to respect the lawnmower and being that they’re so loud, parents often don’t even know the kids are around. If the kid is inside with the other parent, the one on the mower really has no reason to be looking for the the kid and then shite like this happens. I get people say...once you have kids, you’re always conscious they could be around...but why the shite would the parent inside let the kid come outside without fair warning?

Life comes at you quick, I suppose.

I keep my family inside when I mow. No reason to chance anything, especially things being thrown out.

Trashy, indeed. That FB post was cringy.

Inevitably there will be a go fund me set up. Hopefully her parents will use the proceeds responsibly, but I doubt it.

This is why you get the yard crew to only come while the family is at work and school. No issues.

Possibly but it said she was playing with him.

But who among us never played a friendly game of "lawnmower versus man" chicken with our siblings growing up?

Nah, as long as I able to do it myself, I will mow my own yard. Such a waste of money.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your foot, young Italia.

I'm also sorry that your father is an illiterate moron.

They've made some great advancements in prosthetics and will continue to as you grow older.

Illiterate morons, unfortunately, are forever hopeless.

Go figure that the dad would be wearing a Batman shirt. People who like those stupid marvel movies shouldn’t be allowed to have kids

Never ran over my foot with a lawnmower

But you know what hurts? When you’re weed eating and hit a rock or something hard like that and it hits you in the shin or ankle.

Man, frick yard work
