~130 in an '86 Z28. Felt like saucer separation under warp speed.
Would not recommend.
I have a C300 and I've done around 120 in it and unlike that shitty Camaro above, 120 in that car is so smooth it feels like you're cruising at 70. Still had plenty of pedal left.

I was going 110 on interstate between Paducah and points east at 10 am on a Saturday morn not a cloud in the sky and me in a car with 400 HP and electrically adjustable seat just so, and I realized that the driver I saw up ahead was clueless of my arrival in space-time and maybe drunk, weaving some, and I better go by at 80.

I've gone about 178 on an R1 motorcycle. This was in San Diego near Santee, LONG stretch of highway middle of the day, NO traffic about 6 wide lanes. I'll never do that again.

Horsepower isn’t relevant? I know that prelude was light but it’s still way heavier than a motorcycle.

Power to weight ratio.a motorcycle has a much smaller engine than an f150,but for it's size,the bike engine is more than enough.as for top speed, that has more to do with final drive ratio.

Myself: Pegged speedometer in a 1962 T-Bird Convertible (until that day) at 140 mph on RT 66 in either Arizona or New Mexico or both. Probably less than that, but it did have that giant 452 cu in engine.

I shouldn't say that it's not relevant it's just that it doesn't necessarily determine top end speed. It's not that it's not relevant it's just not as relevant as one may think. There are other factors to consider.
With a lightweight vehicle, with a low drag coefficient, with a tailwind, given enough time and with the right gearing, low horsepower motors can produce high-top end speeds.
I'm not saying that's the case in this Prelude, I'm just saying.

I'm calling bullshite on some of these, especially the Crown Vic, Explorer and Prelude. Speedometers are notoriously inaccurate at high speed. The only way to know for sure is using a formula with RPMs, gear ratio and tire circumference. Using that I know I did 138 in a big block Trans Am, and that was well past red line, and my arse was pinching button holes in the seat.

About 155. This was about 2 weeks ago when I was racing a Honda crotch rocket.
Top speed in my car is limited to 185. Don't think I would ever hit that unless I'm at a track. Even then probably not. I'm not a fan of death.
