So unless I missed it, there is only one local qualifier in the state this year, and it is today at OakWing in Alexandria... 45 players playing for 3 spots in a sectional. Any of you boys in on this?

I'm sitting out this year.

I feel like playing in one of these is a good way to get humbled really quickly.

Not this year. Have played in a few in the past. It is actually a lot of fun. Made it to regionals once in nineish tries. You have to go ultra low to compete - its really a monday qualifier for any PGA tour stop.

Well, the Web.com Louisiana Open had a Monday Qualifier at Oakwing and -4 got you in to the tournament field.
Currently -6 would get you into a tiebreaker to make it to sectionals.

Oakwing is one of the hardest courses around to putt on when you end up on the wrong side of the green. Not much rain to speak of for the last month so I’m sure the greens were pretty quick.

Based on that Play-by-Play, I know your real name now.
Bogeys on two of the easier holes on the front don't help, much less the short par 3 on 10. I absolutely HATE 16... it eats my lunch every single time. Too damn long for me, and too narrow close to the green.

There's no such thing as a regional qualifying stage

I read your novel, but let’s get to the important part
What they had out there for a fat baw to eat?

The day something in or around Lafayette is the highlight of my day, think I’m gonna fire up the tundra, crank some tunes, crack a white can, and close the garage door
