Can be yours for the low low price of $35.
Wonder how long the carbonation lasts?
"The McIlhenny Company has just released a limited-edition, small-batch pepper sauce to commemorate its 150th anniversary.
Tabasco Diamond Reserve Sauce — with its flashy, Champagne-style bottle — is meant to catch the eye.
And at $35 a pop, it might cost as much as your favorite bottle of bubbly.
But the new sauce is a must for hot sauce fans and collectors."
Tabasco Diamond Reserve Sauce is made from select tabasco peppers on Avery Island that are mashed with salt and aged for up to 15 years then blended with sparkling white wine vinegar.
The result is a concentrated, complex hot sauce that maintains the signature vibrancy Tabasco fans love.
More spicy news: Tabasco has a restaurant at Avery Island
The sauce is a celebratory offering that toasts the chefs, home cooks, bartenders and foodies who have made Tabasco a staple in their kitchens for the last 150 years.
“We have reached this milestone anniversary thanks to our devoted fans who have
championed Tabasco Sauce in kitchens and at dining tables, in restaurants and in
handbags, and from Avery Island, Louisiana to every corner of the world,” said Tony
Simmons, president and CEO of McIlhenny Company and fifth-generation McIlhenny
family member. “We’re excited to share our newest sauce and look forward to seeing the
dishes and drinks that are created using it. Here’s to the next 150 years of great flavor!”
You can get a 6-ounce bottle of Tabasco Diamond Reserve Sauce for $34.95 at tabasco.com.
Supplies are limited.

We have a vendor who gives our office several bottles of the Family Reserve Tabasco every year. It is legitimately a lot better than regular tabasco. I might buy this to see how it compares to the standard family reserve.

So it still tastes like spicy vinegar? No thanks.

Weird. I was actually at Avery Island on Sunday and saw nothing about this. Seems like they would have it on site. They only had 3 sauces that they said aren't in stores. A scorpion pepper Tabasco (really good heat), Raspberry Chipotle, and The Family Reserve (uses white wine vinegar) was okay not worth the price.
The gumbo at the restaurant was delicious, boudin was great, crawfish etoufee was terrible.

Tapatio isn’t even the best Hispanic hot sauce. El yucateco and even cholula are better.

Sis-in-law hosted a party for Tabasco at Tableau a few months ago and she scored me a few bottles of this. Couldn't find any info on it until now.
Not sure if it's worth $35, but $free.99 is a good price.

Everyone do themselves a favor. Buy the big bottle of Tobasco and let it age for about 6 months in the sunshine on window seal. It will turn from a bright red color to a brownish rust color. Then its ready - and about 250% better.
