I just can't see a scenario where they lose 6 games. I'm not expecting 10 wins or anything, but maybe my purple and gold fandom won't let me see 6 losses.

I agree. I think people are way underselling McMillon. He looked very composed and capable in the spring game and has been good reports coming out on him all spring. Narcisse looks like he might still need some time. I though Brennan looked OK in the spring game, was always under pressure it seemed. I just like McMillons escapability better and seems to have a very good arm.

we expect to not have the worst loss in the 100+ year history of the lsu vs miss st game
we expect not to pay a mod major $850,000 to manhandle us for homecoming.

HERE IS SOMEONE THAT EXPECTED PLAYOFFS IMMEDIATELY

and before you say it...

no coach publicly claims that they will make the playoffs

9-4 is not a good season.

I think we could do better, just a lot depends on the QB position, it's the real wild card here and determines how high or how low we go this season. If one of those three blows up big time, we could go undefeated. If they play like shite, then it could be a miserable season.

this coming season, the schedule is very tough, maybe worse ever, but to go 9-4 would be a disappointment I believe. Really anything short of a SEC title is a disappointment to me. Win the SEC and your in the playoffs on the cusp of a NC. However it's not going to be an easy task with the way Georgia is playing and the talent they have and the gumps have as much talent as ever but also have the real deal at QB, the missing ingredient in the past that made them vulnerable. So winning the SEC is a reach (we have only won it one time in the last 10 years) but anything less is not a "good season" to me.

His first full year with Danny Etling as his quarterback and we are throwing shade?

There is a lot to digest here from you triggered tiger fans.

I am not going to bother getting into a major back and forth diatribe, but I will only this, "We coming, and we aint backing down".

Be ready to eat crow in two seasons as we roll to an SEC West Title.

It's refreshing to hear such a big O supporter assign some expectations to the season. I have a lot of respect for your opinion Willie.

the last regime had worse qbs than etling while playing a far harder schedule and didn't lose 4 games.

yeah its the posters that are posting objective facts that have been triggered its not posters that are hoping and praying.

how about we let O prove he can consistently win more than 2 conference games in a season before we go talkibg about division titles

Yes weird times in the SEC. Is it just Bama, Auburn, and Kentucky (Saban, Mazalin, and Stoops) that hasn't gotton a new HC in the SEC recently?

did you read the article you cited? It says (in reference to the making the playoffs statement) that Coach O made sure to let his *PLAYERS* know what he expects from them. Also I'm sure you know he didn't say this publically, he said it to his players after the Louisville bowl game. Obviously for motivation and goal setting for his players in the upcoming season (2017). How stupidly the rant has turned this into : "but but but ED O promised me, HE PROMISSED ME! LSU would make the playoffs in 2017. Now my butt is all hurt "

It's just so stupid I can't believe you keep repeating this nonsense.

yep he proved he could win more SEC games than the previous staff generally did in recent years, but yes we need to do better and Coach O has to prove he can do even better. Win a NC or two then we'll talk greatness. Otherwise he can hit the bricks.

I really don't understand why everyone respects Auburn so much. Auburn has two position groups that are better than LSU's that's: QB and Kicker... everything else is Better or equal. Mostly better. LSU id just a bigger stronger faster team than Auburn. Yes they beat UGA and Bama... but the way they play ball is right up LSU's alley. Also I'm not so sure about UGA in Death Valley without Sony Michel and Nick Chubb. I think Jake Fromm is going to be different man this season.

It has more to do with playing on the road in a tough stadium where we’ve always struggled (Saban 0-3, Miles 2-4) in an early season game.

We saw what an O prepared team looked like on the road in September last year, and it wasn’t pretty.

There is also the fact that Auburn ran roughshod over LSU in the first quarter last year and the sneaking suspicion that perhaps the big “comeback” had more to do with AU thinking the game was over, given what LSU had looked like in September a 20-0 lead would be enough to make any team think that, and Gus’ history of collapses on the road than anything about our team.

Overall though I agree with you and have posted the same thing about Georgia. The only sure L on the schedule should be Alabama (and with a decent coach even that shouldn’t be a lock in TS), but these apologists want to act like Auburn, UGA, and Miami are all unbeatable Goliath’s of the gridiron.
