HAPPY 4/20.
I think it should be legalized and it's asinine that people spend long periods incarcerated for a weed.

That being said, I don't know a single pothead that is a truly motivated person. Habitual smokers just sorta "get by" with minimal effort. It's no different than my intermittently employed drunk uncle.

This makes O look like a hypocrite all because he brought this guy here with him. He kicked guys like Savion Smith off for the same thing.

I seriously doubt this is a simple case of a player smoking weed. Lots of football players and other students smoke some weed without it impacting their lives. It’s been that way since the sixties at most universities.

When weed does have a really big impact it’s typically for one of two reasons. One is that the person has some other personality dusorder, such as with Ricky Williams.

The other is that they are using synthetic weed, which is very different in its addictive nature and impact it has, mostly on the younger generation that smoke it.

If everyone that smoked weed in the seventies at LSU when I was there had to take a semester off to get their head straight, the classrooms would all have been half empty.

If I were an NFL team drafting a player and learned that the player was a casual marijuana user, it would have little impact on my evaluation. If I was looking at a player that missed Spring pracitice due to weed, I would be digging a lot deeper to see if there was a personality disorder involved or something more than basic weed.

I have no idea what Key’s issues were (are?). I doubt it’s as simple as him smoking pot.

I don’t have any sympathy for someone who has all the talent to make millions of dollars but decides to piss it away by making stupid decisions.

Dude just needed to not smoke a boatload of weed for a few months and would have made megabucks to buy all the best weed he could imagine for the rest of his life. So stupid. I hope he can get it together because he has great talent when focused.
