Are greens fast? Is it an overall tough course?

It's easier and the greens are slower than the Country Club of Louisiana.

I've played it many times. It's one of my favorite courses from a layout perspective. There are 3-4 tough holes but overall it's not terribly difficult.

It’s a shame they let that place go. I loved the 6-6-6 lay out. It’s an easy course but it has gone to shite.

Thought you & Front9Bandit used to battle it out at Bayou CC?

Overall not tough. A really fun course. It gets a lot of hate around here but we always have fun out there and conditions are improving every time we go.

I’ve been at least once every summer giving it a chance because of comments like yours. It has always been worse.

It is like a different course compared to last year. New superintendent seems to have a good handle on things. We have fun out there and things are genuinely improving.

Foot Golf is no longer there either.

Didn’t he overseed the greens? When that dies, then what??? Back to where they started or worse.

That is a good question. They are fine now. He brought them back from literally the dead last year so who knows. Maybe with a full year he can have them rolling.

I wish I could believe you but I honestly think some of y’all out there are in denial. “The owners will turn it around” “the new management has it going to right way” “the new super really knows his stuff” “the geese have stopped shitting everywhere”

Yet the tournaments aren’t run well. There’s still no range. The bunkers are dirt. And the greens (granted this was last year) were half weeds and overseeding is just a bandaid.

And I’m with everyone who says the layout is fantastic. 6/6/6 is really unique around here and there are some interesting holes.

To be clear, I root hard for Copper, The Bluffs, Pelican and The Island. I feel like BREC and LSU put out crap products and their courses by and large will never be anything. Yet they have destroyed golf in BR. The four I listed have potential and maybe I just hope they all succeed.

The golf business in BR sucks. It is amazing to go places and see their golf then think about the shite we have here.

I agree completely about the state of golf in the area. Not happy about Billy Casper at the Island. And the Bluffs is bleeding members. Not sure how pelican is doing.

Which is inexplicable for a mid-sized southern city that’s the state capital. I really don’t understand how it is so bad.
