I’m not falling for it this time. “Come play and find out for yourself”. Must be the only way they can get people to play it.

Are greens fast? Is it an overall tough course?

Plays long on some holes. Unique layout with 6 par 5's, 6 par 4's, and 6 par 3's. It can be very challenging when they let the rough get up.

I have not played it yet this year so I am not current on the conditions. Back in 2016 the flood screwed up the greens and gave them a fungus so they spent most of last year repairing them. The big issue with this course is that they have very little sand in the traps so when I hit in one I just lift out. This is a shame because the course design has some very difficult bunker guarding.

Thanks for the chipping tips, man. If the circumstances call for it, i will try the bump and run.

last year I decided to do something about my short game and I found some Golf Academy shows on chipping with Loren Roberts. They may be on YouTube. They were really good. Also there are a couple really good Phil Mickelson videos on chipping and sand traps.

Actually chipping is a low running shot with an 8 or 9 iron. No bounce is used. A pitch, bounce is used with sand wedge.

What’s the crowd like on a Friday at around lunchtime? Looking for a quick and fairly cheap place to play while on my way to Walker. I don’t need anything too nice but also don’t want to feel like I am playing in a field. Any other suggestions are welcomed.

There is a tournament some Friday mornings. Other than that no one on the course. Check Golf18 and you may be able t pick up a round right after lunch for around $15.

Sweet. I will check it out. Seems like an easy option to get in a quick round and be away from the cluster that is BR traffic. I can just go the back way to Walker.
