Thought provoking. Costs have certainly gone way up.

I paid $237/semester as an undergrad.
Private law school was not much more than $3500. Probably 7-8 times that now.

Non-law school (undergrad) tuition was $1025/semester.

What is Law School tuition per semester currently?

It's $20k now for residents. They are pretty generous with scholarships though. I think around 70% of incoming freshmen have scholarships and then there are merit based scholarships that 2L and 3Ls can earn also. Still, it's crazy how much more expensive it is now than it was 30 years ago. At least we have a lazy river.
Edit: I meant 20k per year. 10k/semester

How much does the Pocket Constitutionalist sell for nowadays?

$20k per semester plus cost of living. That's what -- $50-55k year without a scholarship?

I don’t understand why the cost of education is so much? I mean I get supply and demand and the student loan game, but some of these universities could run off the interest of the endowments alone?

Undergrad tuition was a little over 1k when I started LSU in the mid 90s.

Bloated administrations, paying tenured professors too much, and blowing money on projects that are unnecessary.
Working at a university is the equivalent of working for FedGov -- you don't do shite for half the day, make a good salary, and get full benefits.

2 big things
1. administration. it's exploded and there is a large volume and many of them have insane salaries
2. all the amenities they're adding in the arms race to get that sweet, sweet loan money rolling in

So three years of law school at LSU will cost me $120,000 in tuition if I'm a resident w/o a scholarship? Holy shite! That seems cost prohibitive.

Was 504 my first year . Think about how much money it cost to change the area code on everything

Secondary education and the car business are the same.
If somebody is willing to finance their customers for $10k a semester (or car), they'll charge $10k. If they'll finance $50k, they'll charge $50k.

We need to go to a market based loan system. STEM fields get financed as normal. Gender studies? You get $1,000/year.
