True story. Saw it with my own eyes

Before anyone tees off, checking speeds. They’re all over the course before the first group tees off

Why would I want to play golf with poors?
EDIT: Apparently 7 members post or lurk here and don't like having their destitution pointed out.

There is at least one Louisiana guy that’s a member. I’m sure others here know him.
AFAIK, he’s never invited anyone to play. Certainly not my arse, that’s for sure.

It is interesting how so many folks suck off a bunch of elitists who wouldnt have the time of day, for in their minds, "Peasants".
Wearing the club's hat and shirt as if they're members.
Fantasizing about their exclusivity as if it is their own.
All the while the gentlemen at Pine Valley laugh at their tournament where the public is allowed.

The public is allowed on the grounds for the only annual tournament held at Pine Valley.

wow. You must really be important. The way you carry yourself.
Can you let us in on what the men who are members at BOTH clubs do? Do they ever get confused?
Hurry, I need to go to sleep to dream of shining their shoes with my tears.

You start your post whining about elitists then mention that this other place doesn't let the "public" in. How about this, I'm not inviting you to come get drunk with me at BR first tee. You can sit your arse out at the light on 19 and watch me enjoy my Saturday.

I know someone that played there.
That’s about as close as I’ll ever get.
He was with the only 4some of the day when he played.

Even Tiger Woods can’t play Shoal Creek.

Does this mean they were the only ones to play that day or the only group with 4 golfers?

Asians aren't allowed? Or just shitty tippers are barred?
Posted on 4/5/18 at 10:11 pm to TigerstuckinMS
They were the only 4 to play that entire day.
Most members don’t live in Augusta.

You have to be able to swim to play Shoal Creek, duh.

Never played, but interviewed for a job there back when I lived in Augusta. Made it through a few rounds of interviews, and spent time in their offices. Got to see some of the grounds from the office, etc.
I do remember that part of the compensation package included a round for you and three friends once a year.

Hell I have played Shoal a few times, but getting on at AGNGC is damn near impossible. I know a couple folks that have played it through Coca Cola big wigs. They said it is heaven on Earth. Best round was a 75 from the member tees. This guy was a +1 at our club.

Yeah, in maybe '94 the first time. Was still learning how to play but got down below par before I got bored and started playing another video game.

volunteers are allowed to play 1 round of golf there every year, after they have worked for the tourney for 10 years in a row. The day you get to play is randomly chosen and cannot be changed. The volunteer will be called with enough time to make arrangements to get to town, but if they can’t get there on that date or it’s rained out or whatever the tee time goes bye bye until the next year.
This is not correct. I know a guy that volunteers every year. First tee box. You get a round every year and you can't just make a tee time, but they don't call you and tell you when you can play either. There are certain dates/times when tee times are available for volunteers.

I am two degrees of separation away.
Chef John Folse has taken equipment up there and cooked years past, and as a thank you they gave him a few rounds on AGNC. Friend of mine used to work there and knew someone who got to play. The story goes that the day they went was assigned with no negotiations. It was super packed with the all volunteer rounds that day and their group only made it through 14 or 15 due to how slow the play was.
Still pretty cool.
