This board loves President Trump and is MAGA as all get-out, but with that said, even his most ardent supporters (including yours truly) can admit that he's had some missteps...

What do you think his 5 biggest mistakes have been? I'll list mine:

Trump's biggest mistakes have been:

1. The blunder that led to Sessions recusing himself - whether blame is 50% Trump, 50% Sessions, or 99% Sessions, 1% Trump, this awful decision has clearly dogged DJT's reign from the very early stages.
2. Bringing in too many globalists / swamp critters - They brought nothing good to the table and hurt DJT with his base regularly. Many are now gone.
3. Giving the media too much off the record access both through him and his staff - BTFO, Maggie Haberman! WTF was Michael Wolfe (clearly a leftist) given such access for so long?
4. That awful rollout of the travel ban, which inspired the left and started DJT's reign on an unnecessarily negative tone. Thanks, Sloppy Steve!
5. Not using the power of the Presidency to more formally address the American public. Twitter is great. His occasional rallies are great. But why not a bi-monthly webchat? Why not press conferences? His strongest moments as a candidate were when he'd bring his fire and brimstone directly at the media.

Agreed, at least to the extent that Sessions' blunder in month 1 has been devastating to Trump's narrative and (coupled with the travel ban blunders) ended his honeymoon very quickly. I like my list and gave it some thought, but I bet I missed something as well.

Will be interesting to see.

If I did a "top 10", the delay and lack of progress on infrastructure (specifically not being in Flint several times a year) would be number 6.

no mistakes at this point. Only jockeying for position for future negotiations.

For me it would be not more aggressively ferreting out the leakers. His administration is being undermined consistently. It's disgusting politics.

This thread will prove how blindly obsessive people are on here with him. he can do no wrong. Its about the culture war vs. liberals and supporting him regardless of performance more than about what he's actual doing.

I'd argue that no tariffs have taken effect and so your criticism is premature.

In fact, I'd be willing to wager heavily that no new tariffs will be in effect on a given date in the near future... say September 1st, 2018.

My only disappointment thus far is that HRC is not being held at Gitmo for treason.

Trump's supporters take what he says seriously, but not literally.

Trump's detractors and the "elite" take what he says literally, but not seriously.

IMO this applies to all of the following: Paris Accord, tariffs, Amazon bluster, Mexican wall, North Korea, NATO. Probably many others.

Agree with you on this. It is part of the leverage for fixing a long term problem.

And thisnpost proved how blindly obsessive you are about this board. I will never understand why so many people are so concerned with calling out "the board".
