i dont hate O. ivd never met him.
He isnt qualified to run Vandy's defense, let alone run a top 15 all time program.

he had .....
52 4 & 5 star athletes( a roster that was rated the 6th most talented roster in cfb by people paid to evaluate talent)
a returning senior qb
returning all sec rb
the highest paid coordinators in cfb
the easiest schedule he will ever have at lsu
AND HE STILL LOST 4 GAMES

if posters are actually making personal attacks towards him it is going to far and is unwarranted.

He just isnt a good coach.

honestly O seems alot like me

a loud obnoxious coonass

Coach Eaux hired what is possibly the BEST O-line coach in college and pro football.

Jesus jumped up and down Ree.

You bragged about the Canada hire for months on end last year. Remember how that hire worked out?

This years "BEST O-line coach in college and pro football" is last years "the only offensive coordinator selected as a Broyles award finalist."

This guy might work out fine, but as others have pointed out, he wasn't the actual o-line coach, he was an assistant coach. Hard to believe he would only be an assistant coach at the pro level if he is "possibly the BEST O-line coach in pro football."

This has been explained ad nauseam, repeating over and over again.

Posting things about Orgeron that actually happened is viewed by some as "bashing" or "hate". We can't post head coaching accomplishments for Orgeron that he has never accomplished. It's not our fault that his head coaching career has been saturated with bad decisions and poor results. If he achieves some sustained success as HC, then we'll post those accomplishments as they happen.

I'm hoping that this helped some.

Kudos.

You’re about the only one on this board who actually spells this right.

Well put.

I have no idea why what you posted is so hard for some to understand.

I don't hate O. I do not want him to fail. I don't want LSU to fail.

But I will say that I don't trust him. I don't believe a word he says at this point. I am an easy going person and I will give anyone several chances to right their wrongs and I'm sure I'm not the only one put together like that. He squandered those chances and now he just says what people want to hear in an effort to win back some who may be undecided on how he actually is as a head coach.

The bottom line is exactly what you said, he isn't a good coach. He's made bad decisions, and I'm referring to his time at LSU, not Ole Miss although that sure deserves to be kept in mind.

I've said this over and over, if he makes me eat my words, I'm ok with that. I'll have seconds.

All we can do right now is wait and see how we look on opening day. We come out and blow the doors off Miami, then maybe I'll reconsider how I think he is as a head coach.

He's pointing out a fact. One would think he's a super bowl winning head coach with the amount of times the super bowl ring has been plugged with the hire.
It's an advantage in recruiting. I'd be pissed if we didn't use it. Marketing is marketing.

And an assistant OL coach is not a gopher. Not in the NFL. It's not a NFL version of Grad Assistant. In fact, the focus on grading (both practice & game film) and individual technique. Very valuable at the college level.

There are some negatives to wonder about, such as being demoted from OL coach at USC under Kiffin, but the NFL experience is not one of them.

Not saying you are right or wrong, but I have seen you post about the OL a few times. Do you have inside knowledge or first hand witness to how they are/aren't progressing?

no he doesnt. he has been shitting on our oline since he joined.

people paid to evaluate oline play have had lsu as one of the best olines in cfb and semjase said we didnt have single sec caliber olinemen on the team.

in 2015 we had 3 all sec olineman, our center was a rimington award finalist, we led the country in yards before and semjase said we didnt have any sec caliber olinemen.
he thinks that if an oline is better at run blocking than pass blocking, they arent a good line.

Not even 4 losses. People reached their breaking point with 3 losses in 2015.

Fair enough. I think we will be really solid at guard. I think to get the best 5 on the field Brumfield could slide over to center. Let Charles get healthy at LT and hopefully Traore or Deculus takes the RT spot. Depth could be pretty decent this year.

we have had some problems with pass blocking at times but thats mostly from miles putting an emphasis on run blocking and there isnt a single oline in cfb thats elite at both run blocking and pass blocking. if we get healthy this year, i think the oline will once again be a strength for us and the growing pains we faced in 2017 will pay dividends this coming season.
