I had issues with the Ecobee 3 and my wiring. Grabbed a Nest (latest version) and installed it with no problem. I don't think I had enough voltage to power the ecobee but it just has enough to power the Nest through the common wire and all.

I like nest but others prefer ecobee.

Have had the ecobee3 for like 2 years now. I love it. Even detected and told me when my freon was low.

Nest gets a lot of hate on here, but I really love my nest.

Love my ecobee so far. I have 3 sensors spread around the house to keep the temp better regulated. I have a buddy who owns an a/c company and he says that he's seen nothing but issues with the nest.

I only have a Nest. I'm still blown away at how easy it was to install. It literally took me 10 minutes one morning, and has worked flawlessly since.

i got a Nest for christmas and it is great man... When the wife starts bitching because its too cold, its great to just pick up my phone and change it instead of having to get up.

I only have experience with the Nest but I really like it. So easy to set up and it's worked perfectly so far.

I have an ecobee4. It came handy since it's got built in alexa already. if you're planning to start a smarthome, it might be a good idea to check it. It works great with our HVAC. But ecobee 3 is already a decent thermostat, it can also work with alexa, only with a separate purchase.

Unless you literally have the same exact schedule every day, do not get one of these (Nest). I fricking hated it.

Wondering the same thing. We are moving into a new house at the end of July and there is a Honeywell T6 Pro thermostat installed already. What are yalls thoughts on this? Is it worth it to swap it out for an Ecobee or Nest? Its brand new fwiw.

Nest for sure. Go nest with the whole smart home.
