Wgas about this pretend tournament

Because going from 2-16 to an NIT 3 seed is something to thumb your nose at... C'mon man, get a grip, this is a good first step for the Will Wade era

My understanding from some close to the Cajuns program was when Wade was hired, they tried very hard to play LSU. Offered to play them at PMAC, even an exhibition game. Wade turned them down.

From the ULL message boards:

Was at the NIT announcement tonight. Talked to one of the assistant coaches.
Said LSU is "soft" especially the bigs. Said the Cajuns will eat them up inside.
The point guard is "overrated" and a midget. Said LSU cannot defend well
and will get exposed! Also said Cajuns will be playing with a "chip" on their
shoulder and the head coach (Wade) does not want to play us...scared!

It’s time. Bring back the magic. Wear the golds at home from now on.

Hope that makes it to Epps and Reath, and they just eat all night long... Just feed the ball to Reath, if SEC bigs couldn't defend that hook shot, then what is ULL gonna do?

Won't be broken
The PMAC isn't as big as it once was.

if one of their coaches said that (which is unlikely) he's either incredibly stupid or just trying to pump up his base. waters was a top recruited guard nationally and is an all sec freshman so he's proven it on the court over the course of an entire season in the 2nd toughest league in the country.

as for the bigs, he's right. we are soft there but, they're going to be stepping up in quality of competition bigly when they play the tigers and lsu has strong all season at home.

The thing about us being soft is very true. Wade has said it multiple times. Any team with physicality on the inside just beats us up. Waters is going to get his, like he always does. Question will be can Epps and Reath hold their own.

ULL got crushed by every major they played. Including ole miss. 75% of LSU’s schedule was better than any game ULL played outside of Clemson. So we’ll see

4 100-150 wins, 3 on the road
3 100-150 losses, including blown out at ole miss

sos - 229

in total, only 2 games against the top 50, both losses

How are they even a 6 seed? Or even in the NIT at all?

They won their conference championship (regular season), those who do that but don't make the big dance are auto NIT bids (I actually like the rule)

Not as far as I know, should be a "national" audience

Coach Will Wade making the NIT and hosting with the talent on this team is a testament to him and the players who bought in.

While we would all like to see a W v U LA LA and a nice NIT run, it’s been a great start to the WW era regardless.

Geaux Tigers.

Bull fricking shite. Wade isn't "scared" of anyone. If ULL believes that, they are in for a rude awakening.

My question is how is their RPI at 63 with no top 100 wins and a 229 SOS? And getting blown out by Ole Piss?
