It's been a loooong time but our short NIT history against in-state schools has not been good.
Lost at home in 82 to Tulane and 83 to UNO.
The Tulane game came right on the heels of Dale saying he'd never play Tulane again and then had to play them NIT first round. It was back when Tulane still had fans and they were yelling Dale Brown sucks after winning the game. They were always classy.

just a quick glance at ull from espn rpi
no top 50 wins
blown at out clemson (10)
no 50-100 wins
lost to wyoming (97)
4 100-150 wins, 3 on the road
3 100-150 losses, including blown out at ole miss
sos - 229
in total, only 2 games against the top 50, both losses
this is a VERY winnable game for lsu, especially at home

I approve of Cody's counter....I did say my reference was a loooooooong time ago and that was probably players on that Tulane team that eventually got the program killed. And UNO had some good teams back in the day. Not sure if they had the kid that played in the NBA for a while on that team or not.
