6 losses

If LSU only had 6 loses they would be a top 20 RPI

as a fan of both teams, you'd better tell will wade he better start coaching "boxing out" real fast. the Cajuns do a great job of it.

That's a lost cause with this team at this point. They just aren't a good rebounding team. I don't have to tell Wade anything he knows that, he has been coaching around it all year.

I mean, he's been coaching it all year. But when there is only one real front court player on the team, and he's about 35lbs lighter than he should be, it's just not going to be a strength of the team.

Watch how much better our blocking out gets next season when we have better frontcourt players.

understand. but even the small ones can box out to draw the foul if the positioning is correct. it really doesn't have anything to do with size when properly executed. yes.......you might not get the rebound but, you should damn sure draw the foul.

Then how in the hell is their rpi 61?

Because they won a lot of games.

But their SOS is awful. Their conference did them no favors. After ULL, the next best RPI in that league belonged to UT-Arlington and theirs was about 120 before yesterday. And many of the teams in the league has 200+ RPI.

If Reath and Epps still arent strong rebounders as seniors no amount of coaching would ever change that. they just play smaller than they are when it comes to rebounding, dealt with it their entire time here over 2 different coaches.

You have access to the team. Get them to wear the gold uniforms, please.

The Tulane game came right on the heels of Dale saying he'd never play Tulane again and then had to play them NIT first round. It was back when Tulane still had fans and they were yelling Dale Brown sucks after winning the game. They were always classy.

I would kill for us and Tulane to have a rivalry like this again. Also we lost to them in football later that year too I believe

ETA: AND we had just lost to them the previous fall in '81 in football. That was a dark stretch for LSU against Tulane.

Haha. Wish I had that much stroke, but I’ll put in a word.

I also want us to stop having the dancing girls and cheerleaders take the stage in all timeouts. It kills the atmosphere. Any cheering and chanting for the team stops and spectators watch them instead. As a crowd we lose momentum.
Need to have the cheerleaders and dancers do what cheerleading is meant to do - cheer on the team! Like a simple “Geaux” on one side of arena answered by “Tigers” on the other. How hard would that be?

The only entertainment we need is our players kicking butt.
I hate the silence that comes during timeouts. Not seen that in many of the areas I’ve been in, it’s usually a time to get loud.

I love our dancing girls, they’re the best in the conference, and really enjoy their half time sets. I’d just like to see them dancing less and calling out cheers more.

Rant over.

Our two main guys who carry the bulk of boxing out responsibilities do their best, just plain and simply they go no arse and they just physical can do it. They know how and they use proper technique, they are coached properly, they just ain't big and strong enough.

Can you suggest, to someone that matters, that they put together some sort of game environment fan advisory board or something to work with basketball ops and work on some of this?

That actually sounds like something Wade would support.
